if she ever said something along the lines of "we'd really prefer it if only men who were extremely fit with good jobs and beautiful partners bought our cars" it'd be more likely she'd be lauded for her shrewd thinking as opposed to being asked to step down.

Hence doing it out of principal. The new CTS may have gotten rave reviews but if I'm going to drop 50-60k on a ride in the future, I'll spend that money with a company that keeps men calling the shots. Just the way god intended.

VP of human resources...this is insane; though it now paves the way for the purely idiotic. Which sports league is going to have the first female commissioner now? Maybe the NFL and they can wear pink all year long.

I can also see the next round of commercials, Howie Long in some commercial where his wife steals his truck keys and goes muddin with the girls. He thinks someone stole the truck and she brings it back all muddy and throws the keys at him and says it needs a wash or some bullshit.

GM has always been a short since the bailout but I think this just hastens it. As someone pointed out the US government just lost a total of 10.5 billion bucks... If the company was sound they wouldn't have lost anything... Furthermore it is all smoke in mirrors with GM sales... As Zerohedge consistently points out, they are channel stuffing their products up the dealers ass.... GM vehicles are not being sold to consumers.... Furthermore they are still trying to push vehicles that lose them money... What company on earth would sell a product that loses them money ? Not to mention it is NOT a small amount when it comes to a Volt...

Government Motors has been on a path to destruction for 30+ years and I think this latest decision is the proverbial nail in the coffin

She has a good resume. Executive Vice President of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. Any man in that position has a good shot at being CEO.

I am just a little shocked that a woman is going to running a car company. Whats next? The railroad industry?
