I searched and didn't see anything.
I made a NOOB mistake on texting and was going to see if there is any way to recover, or at last see how long I should wait before texting back.
So Saturday night a few of my cousins and I were at a bar here in West Texas. I spot this redhead(can't resist them) and ask my cousin(who goes to college here) about her. He knows her friend and invites them over. I meet her and her friend and talk for a few minutes. They leave and he tells me they are both college cheerleaders.
Time moves on and we end up at a fast food joint at 2:30 in the morning. I see her and as they are walking by I say her name, she comes up and gives me a big hug. She's trashed, and her friend talks to my cousin. I ask for her number, she gives it to me and I punch my name into her phone.
I always text next day because it's worked for me. I want to keep fresh in her mind.
Here's the text convo.
Me-Hey, what's up...
Her-Your name is something crazy in my phone,,
Me-What's it say?
Her-"says my name"
Me- That's right
Her-ohhh haha okay
Me-(HERE'S MY MISTAKE. I NEVER MAKE THIS MISTAKE)So you remember me from "name of bar"?
A minute later
Me-Saw you at "fast food joint" also, in case you're confused, haha.


Shows up as her reading it. No text back.
Anyway to recover from this? Was a STUPID text and won't make that mistake again.
Usually I'd be like, oh well. Missed out on the opportunity. I have 3 girls here I'm working on, plus 3 back in Dallas so missing out on one girl isn't a big deal, BUT, she is a college cheerleader and could really open up a new group of girls for me in the long run so I want to recover from this.

Sorry for the long read. I'm just not great at recovering from a bad text, when it's a new contact. I might be over thinking it and may just need to give her a text tomorrow evening or something with something off that topic.

Edit-Let me add that her replies were all pretty quick. I just think I embarrassed her with my last few texts and need to create a trust between us(refer to post below).

Was wanting to mention something about my cousin and her friend knowing each other to help with establishing some trust. Would that work? I'm gonna wait a few days to text her back unless advised to go a different direction.

I'm not in town most weekends and I don't go out on weekdays unless it's a date or planned activity. I'm sure she goes out a lot considering my cousin said these cheerleaders party A LOT. She's from the Dallas area so I could even set something up during their Winter break.

Instead of mentioning the place you shouldve teased her bout being trashed.

Anyway move on.

Cheerleaders and strippers are slippery. Try setting something up through your social circle with her, mack on other girls in front of her.

And stop doubting yourself.
Get in a good mood before heading out.
Act like you OWN the world.

Not moving on just yet, but that idea above would have been much better than my shitty last texts.
I was in the mood. My other cousin(not the one that knew her friend) wasn't on his game. We were talking to another girl in the fast food joint(after the cheerleaders left) and he couldn't close. I swooped in and closed the number for him.
I sometimes doubt myself in the texting game. It's getting much better. I make sure I have enough girls to talk to so I don't text too much.

Hell, I even go on dating sites and get numbers from these randoms. Use them to help my text game. Never intend to hang out with them, but it gets my mind of the girls I actually wanna hook up with. I get bored with them and drop em, and get more..haha

Let it go for a while. Next time you're in town/the area invite her out with a group. "Having drinks with a few friends..." Etc.

Otherwise, lots of stuf on restart text on here.

El Mech had a good one I've had success with. "Gimme 10 min..." That's it, as is. If they reply back, give a a long while, maybe the next day to reply. Reply back with something like, "hey, was a wrong group text...was late to a friends party. How's it going?" If they respond, respond back with asking what their schedule looks like for the coming week. Cont. from there if it's a positive response.

The "Gimme 10 min" restart text is awesome. Will be using it while I'm in Dallas this weekend to set something up for next week.
