Witness Argentinian feminists desecrate the grounds of a cathedral.

Story is a year old, but this seems to take place regularly in Argentina.

yeah its disgusting behavior but otoh its not like the catholic church was a bunch of angels either throughout history...inquisition, witch hunts, etc.

It is not often, well perhaps not ever that I am actually incited by comments on this forum but this can be the first. I am not a member of the catholic church but some of the conclusions Pyre is drawing are ridiculous.

1. Justifying protest and desecration because of the inquisition. This is the same argument a black person in america or native canadian would make for calling me whitey and demanding reparations because of the slave trade or 'residential schools'. I'm certain that none of the members of this church were a) alive during the inquisition or b) present in spain either

2. In terms of equivalency of action, I have not come across a story of the pope or cardinals seeking out feminists at their places of worship (ani difranco concerts and poetry slams?) and proceeding to spit and spray paint the people there. Thats the problem, they are targeting a religion that really has no power over people that are not its members and has a 'turn the other cheek' philosophy nowadays. I'd like to see them get the sack to desecrate a mosque or spray paint a woman in a hijab, but they won't because they know they would all be hunted down and killed. They have picked a target that won't fight back like the literal pussies they are.

3. As for being a 'perfect match' are there any femenist aid groups working in the philippines after the typhoon? are there femenist orphanages and missions for the poor? Despite black marks on its history, I would characterize the 500 years of the catholic church since the reformation as pretty damn benevolent. The short history of femenism has helped who?...maybe its helped ugly women feel validated?
