Just finished this. Extremely easy read. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Am reading it for inspiration for a course I'm doing.

I especially enjoyed how Ferguson has put the financial crisis of 2008 into an historical context, and his final remarks on the future of behaviorial finance are definitely being proven correct.

The book is, however, now out of date, which is the problem with books written by many celebrity academics - to make money they publish a book every year of diminishing quality. It's irritating, because you have to buy their latest shit all the time. Which I have: am now reading "The Great Degeneration".

If you saw the TV-series though, I think the book isn't really necessary except perhaps to offer a few ideas as to look up stuff.
