Some background on myself: I'm 17 and I have about a month left of my first semester of community college(skipped 12th grade). In highschool I was pretty shy and insecure of my looks, not so much anymore but I'm still working on that. My logistics are pretty terrible, I live at home and it's an hour and a half commute to school(2 buses and a train). My mom is a huge prude and is always trying to find out what I'm doing so I try to let her know as little about myself as possible. I also just moved from LA to some small beach town so I don't know anyone where I live.

The girl I approached is some cute girl from my english class who I overheard about a week ago saying that I dressed well compared to one of her male friends. While i was waiting for the teacher to arrive I was talking with her friend and when she arrived he left and I opened her with "hey".
From there I talked about the class and then tried to divert the conversation away from school. She did most of the talking and was pretty friendly overall but she just seems like a friendly person not just exclusive to me. There were no awkward pauses because she did a lot of the talking. After the teacher arrived I just went to my seat.

Any advice on what i should do next? Should I try to go farther with her or should I just focus on talking with as many girls as possible before I think about getting laid?

At 17, all you really need to do is get her alone. (Movies, bowling, pool, mini golf, lan parties whatever you kids do nowadays)

Cool, I'll get her number this week when we have class. I only have $15 in my account right now and I can't really borrow any because money is pretty tight right now so I can't really pay for dates.
