In my country, a rape victim has the right to request female doctors in an emergency room, female police officers who are trained in matters of sexual violence, female counsellors to cope with the trauma, female lawyers to publicly defend them, female judges and there'll be a good chance the jury will stacked with 8 women to 4 men to deflect potential criticism of sexism. Why are they pretending there's still this wall of patriarchy making the process uncomfortable for women when this has been standard since the 80's? Political correctness thrived in that decade, guaranteeing there's at least three generation of women in crime and social welfare fields, particularly as they're government jobs. The victim's welfare and feelings will be considered at every stage. The rapist, not so much.
