Tips for creating a new brand
Guys,

So I'm trying to start a new company providing consulting.

Now my Idea is to try and get as much as possible my name registered in basically all important places.

This week, I will go and trademark / register the name of my brand so that nobody else attempts at trying to steal my brand name.

And so far I have done
* Created new facebook page
* Created new facebook group
* Twitter account
* domain parked my name.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm unsure that trademarking is necessary yet. I'm not sure anyone will still the name of a start up company. But if you have the capital go for it.

You'll want to get a copyrighted logo up swell.

well, right now I organize events but I want to expand on other areas too, now I want to do it under a brand name, the reason I mention trademarking is that over here (slovakia) I've heard way too many horror stories of people starting something new, just to find out that someone else stole the name of their brand and now they are not allowed by law to use that name to promote their brand, so I just want to be on the safe side.
