I have not had sex in almost 2 years. Here is my story.

2 years ago I broke up with my girlfriend (its not important why) and I started to pursue my real ambition of becoming a writer. For the first six months or so I didnt care about dating as I was just focused on developing my craft and getting my name out there. I lived in Toronto at the time which is notorious for having a terrible dating scene. I went on a couple dates over the summer and winter but nothing happened. I resigned myself to it and continued working on my writing. For the next year nothing happened. I was broke and could hardly afford to go out, and when you work from home you have no way of meeting people.

Then this summer I had enough of Toronto, so I moved to Montreal. Not only to find better women, but to expand my horizons and enrich myself with better life experiences. I've been here for 3 moths and still have not gotten a bang. I've been on one date which went nowhere, picked up one girl who turned out to have a boyfriend, and have a couple others on OKCupid which I am working on scoring dates with. That is all I can say I've done so far. If I do not have sex soon I am going to explode. Montreal is supposed to have beautiful and aggressive women who will approach YOU if they like you. So where are they?

I need to break this cold streak. But I have a number of things working against me.

-I'm poor (classic starving artist)
-I'm short (5'5")
-I'm not in great shape. Working at a desk all day has made me soft and pudgy.

I do, however, have an interesting lifestyle. My unconventional way of life as a writer, and the fact that I was ballsy enough to move to a new city with no real prospects, creates instant interest. I also have a handsome face, full head of hair, nice eyes, and a magnificent beard.

The way I see it, since I'm not in school I have the following options for meeting women

-Online dating
-Through friends
-Interest groups
-Approaching

I don't need to tell you what the problems are with the first 2 things, and the 3rd thing offers a very slim chance of meeting someone young, attractive, compatible and single. That just leaves me with approaching.

I have to start approaching to break my cold streak. I am going to continue with the online dating, but not rely on it. It is cost effective, but you never get what you think you're getting with these sites. I have gone out several times over the past two weeks with approaching in mind but its hard to build up the guts to even do it once. Much of the time I return home having not done even one approach.

Tonight I will be going to a bar with the intention not of getting numbers, not of making out, not of just having a good time, but of getting laid. Anything else is a failure. I will be doing this again on Saturday as well. I will be rejected and I'm fine with that. But if I continue to stay in I will never meet anyone. What I have been doing thus far has not worked. Its time to try something different. I need to break the cold streak.

They can smell the desperation. Your mindset is all wrong. Get laid or else. Anything else is a failure. They know that's your mindset and will avoid you.

Before you start approaching you need to work on your life. I was in the same spot as you a few months ago but not as desperate. I scored last weekend. I don't care. The girl has been texting and calling me like crazy trying to set something up for this weekend. Today I finally agreed to see her tomorrow. My life is no different now than it was last week. I had to go to work. I still worked out. I ate the same. I'm still on OKC and POF like I was before. I went out Sunday and approached. I felt the same this week except I was tired on Sunday and the Monday work out was harder than normal. Do I look forward to her texts? No. Do I really want to see her? Well, I have to work on Saturday and it will be nice to see someone afterwards instead of coming home and being alone. That's nice but not that big a deal.

Moving to Montreal is one thing. If you're not working on a career outside of writing you need to pick up stakes and just go. Google the name "Neil Skywalker". Do what he did. Get some stories you can use as Big Bait to get girls and as fodder for your writing. You can't write unless you've lived. If you've lived you wouldn't be writing about how you have to score. Back in the day guys went to sea. Melville and Dana. Go work in the oil sands and see what men are like. See the fuel of the economy being won from the bowels of the earth. Take the money and go to a place you like from the description on the travel forum.

I think he needs to work on his inner game(in this case, getting into shape physically) before he starts approaching like crazy. OP, max out your physicality by getting into great shape and maxing out your looks. Then you won't have that as an excuse that "I'm pudgy so girls don't like me".

If you don't want to improve yourself, you will have to drastically lower your standards.

Your life, your looks, your money all matter but none of it matters to pussy as much as: do you get other pussy. Cold streak that long is like a second virginity. Get the stink off. Rawdog a saucy OKCupid piglet. Then a slightly less piggy piglet, and so on. Bootstrap your way into quality pussy by fucking up the ladder. As you do this, confidence will follow. Confidence comes from having sex. That's about the only thing it comes from. You could be the fucking president and if you can't pull ass, you're not gonna like what you see in the mirror. start approaching, but really, dont be too picky right now. work a hotel bar late at night, go out several nights a week, just go hunting. start taking care of yourself and treat yourself like a fucking god.

I'd be wary pursuing a fat chick. By all means, if one is coming on to you go for it, but some fat girls live to turn down dudes they think are slumming it. If your ego is already fragile from the dry spell that can be a harsh experience. Getting rejected by a 9 is a more worthwhile endeavour than fucking a fatty.

Thanks guys. I would agree that I definitely need to get my ass in shape and get my money situation sorted out. I love writing, but earning 2k a month and acting like everything is fine isn't cool when you're 31. I can't get my shit together without the cash to make it happen. Gym memberships, nice clothes, and a car all cost money. So, I've decided to give up the freelancing bullshit for a real job and I can just write memoirs and novels in my spare time. It's something I've been thinking about since the summer.

I definitely need to get the stink off though, and right now settling for a 4 wouldnt even be that bad. 2 years without pussy is unacceptable.
