Like if you're in New York for example, and you want to see fares all over the world for a given date.

Sometimes I don't care that much where I go, and price can be a big determinant. If there is a sweet deal, I'm down to go somewhere I wasn't considering.

I havent come across a site that lets you do this. Anyone know one?

Knowing some information about how Sabre/Amadeus works, I'd say it is very difficult to obtain this information in such form, as they are not optimized for this kind of search.
Your best bet would be to sign up to airlines promotional mailing lists, and monitor them. In a year you'll know all possible promotions. Usually they're all to the same place. You'll never get a sweet deal from NYC to Bucharest, Romania, for example.

If you sign up with trip advisor, they have this option. Flycheapabroad.com may also have it, not positive though.

Concept is good, but I've tried it for cities I'm very familiar with and see that they miss several destinations which are definitely served by direct daily flights. Also, they don't include destinations with one change. I suppose there would be too many to plot on the map if they did include them.

That trip advisor deal is pretty good. I think it might only be for specific cities now that I think about it though. But I found roundtrip to Rio for $500, that's a pretty damn good deal.

My bad. Didn't look at the site too carefully.Thought that the "Show Schedules" command would give schedules and prices, but see now that it doesn't work yet.

Yep, taxes included. But that's from Miami. I've seen it from Denver almost that cheap. I didn't believe it myself. I had to have the girl actually show me. It was through American Airlines website directly and it was only if you scheduled the flight from within 2-3 weeks of booking, no more no less. Sometime they just have those killer deals.
