New member here. I've been lurking for awhile and I just finished Bang, great book with lots of insight. Thought I'd share what I get hung up on with the ladies. One of my things I struggle with is the hot/cold mixed signals I get from girls, and I know I'm not the only one. Girls are a fickle bunch. One minute they like you, then they dont, then they like you again. My college years were fun but looking back I see a lot of missed opportunity that I should have taken advantage of. I have had a few encounters where one minute I'm getting buying signals, looks, whatever. There's obvious mutual interest. Then next time I see the girl or am at the same place she ignores me, avoids eye contact, seems uninterested, etc. On a few occasions this is a girl who I have talked to in the past but not had the balls to ask for the phone number. I chalk it up to me not taking the interaction where I should have before, or maybe she just lost interest or is into another guy. Have to strike while the iron is hot, that is what it comes down to. Like the thread with the poster who says he smiles way too much, I have had the same problem. When I was younger I had a habit of having a "nervous smirk", dont ask me why. When I was in boot camp it got the attention of the drill intructors very early on. So needless to say that cleared that problem up very quickly. Nothing like physical punishment to clear up a bad habit. Thoughts/comments?
