She's an objectively attractive woman, albeit prim-looking and not particularly feminine, but in the article she stated she's had a lot of trouble dating men. My spider sense tells me that she's a closeted lesbian, and she's using the former fat man as a nice safe public beard. From her point of view it's a great move: she gets to avoid coming to terms with her homosexuality, while gaining a non-threatening "lover" with whom she'll never, ever have to have sexual intercourse. He, of course, long ago self-emasculated himself through his record-setting morbid obesity and concomittant devastated health.
