I don't know if any of you have read much Rousseau, but I've been reading a little for college, and I'm amazed at being able to find a few hidden tidbits of game written in throughout the reading. It is especially apparent in his Discourses on the Inequality of Man when he pays lip-service to women all while later back-tracking and saying they are the sex that "ought to be governed."

I feel like some of this can be explained by Rousseau's above average seduction skills and bleeds through from what must have been his personality. I mean this guy seduced himself a mistress at 17 to get himself access to her own private library and had 7 (or 6) children by 5 mistresses.
