From where im from, the clubs and bars are all still packed every weekend. Sometimes it is almost impossible to find a good place to enter because there are so many people and the queeues just keep growing. And honestly, the female-male ratio is also balancing up. Although, not surprisingly, the ratio tends to become more male'ish later on at night.

It is definitely true that girls are using clubs and bars as a social place where they just '' hang out'' with their friends and text with their boyfriends/ admirers.

That's an interesting theory. I wonder if he would've focused his energy instead on a "mystery method" for online game. More fish in the sea there. I agree the club scene does seem more dry than it once was, with the exception of places like Vegas or clubs in resort cities.
