While I've fantasized about going on a rampage countless times, the reality is that this person is just doing their job. It's like people at the DMV. It's an infuriating institution but that doesn't mean employees deserve to die.

I do feel bad for the TSA agent. They are basically rent-a-security guards.

Cops are another story. SOME policemen do deserve to die. They just killed a 13 year old boy near my place.

It was straight murder. I hope that cop gets it.

I don't blame them for doing their job. I do blame them for being a dick about it and lacking courtesy.

When the dude in the single prop flew into the IRS building, I considered him a big dick, especially after I read his suicide letter. But I also felt like the IRS agents had it coming. Sure, they are just "doing their job," but how many countless lives has the IRS and its henchmen unreasonably ruined in the pursuit of "just doing our jobs?"

I don't blame meter maids one bit for doing their jobs. If they didn't, people would park as long as they wished whenever they wished.

I've been through the airports of about a dozen countries. The only places where the transportation security was dicks was in the US and in India.

Japan seems to get the job done while being super cheerful, enthusiastic and helpful.

So some rent a cop TSA idiot (ghetto/white trash the whole lot of them) gets killed. This was bound to happen.

I cant blame those idiots for taking the job at the TSA since with their low IQ´s, poor work qualifications its far better pay than working at a fast food restuarant which is really all they are qualified to do. No, I blame the government for creating the TSA which is essentially a make work program which gives unemployable types jobs. They have no real training, skills and intelligence to deal with safety so its not terribly surprising one of them will end up shot.

Say what you will about cops at least the have a lot of training and they are far more intelligent than the folks in the TSA.

Right on time.....just when the O administration needed to divert attention from the scandals that have been brewing (Obummercare, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, etc. etc. etc.) and help the Prez's sagging approval numbers.

There are tons of professions that have to deal with assholes, that list would be quite extensive. Nevertheless its not acceptable to be a dick to people who never forced you to take the job or were never unpleasant in the first place.

Generally, it's counter productive to be a dick when dealing with customers/clients/the public.

I've done a lot of work that involved people being totally awful to me and the best response was the calm them down by being gracious and working toward a solution to whatever was pissing them off in the first time.

I get it that customer service is important but this is different. This isn't a cashier saying, "have a nice day."

I honestly believe people are either dumb or/and get their feelings hurt easily.

And yes there is the occasional asshole who goes on a power trip.

If like to hear stories about an instance where a TSA screener was being a jerk off. I've never once seen an instance of this

I don't fly constantly, but I do so routinely. Probably hit between 5-10 different airports a year generally.

You're right. I don't have a story of TSA being a total jerk off in my presence.

They have, however, been consistently unfriendly, abrupt and demanding.

They quickly show agitation over tiny things and instead of adopting an attitude of service, almost to the individual employee, have a strong sense of superiority.

Rather than helping you get cleared for the secure area of the airport, they are pushing and demanding, as if you owe them something.

That's why they can all go to hell.

I do recall one guy that was especially decent and offered a high level of professionalism.

By comparison, all the security in Japan and Thailand that I've seen offered a helpful, pleasant attitude and was polite.

Went so far as to request permission to search bags, even though it was mandatory.

He further asserts if they would just join the masses with actual feelings -anybody not white/male - we could join hands in our socialistic utopia. Yes, he thinks people are right-wing or conservative because they don't have any feelings.

I know a TSA agent who is the now ex-boyfriend of an old fuck buddy of mine. He's white, pasty, herby and has that sort of unearned arrogance that unaccomplished dweebs put off. He's also a belligerent drunk who tried to fight me when I cut him off at a social function I was bartending.

I've always hated the whole premise behind the TSA, but now whenever they get brought up I always think of him, lording over his tiny slice of power, impotent in every other realm of life.

In Japan I was picked for a random search, I think it lasted 25 seconds. Those polite Japanese security guys must of said sorry and thank you 2 dozen times. Even asked how my flight was during the brief search.

I almost took a part time job with them. Our airport is tiny. Only six gates so it would have been a laid back job. I dont understand the hate for them. You run into pricks at any service job. I know you Sprint carriers deal with shitheads all the time.

I worked for a few customer service jobs. Walmart, Verizon, Ihop and at each job there was more than a few shitheads who hate their job. Just angry people in general. Any service job have them. Deal with it and move on. Should you? No but it is what it is.

Side note: the worst customer service I ever had was in Seattle. The people there do not care at all. I thouht it was me but my whole unit said the same thing. Ever coffee shop, fast food spot, and restaurant was the same. Blame it on the weather haha.
