The Black Phillip show ended with the death of comedian Patrice O'Neal. However, his partner on the show Dante Nero started up a podcast called The Beige Phillip Show. I found it completely by accident and I was skeptical at first. I'm about 60 episodes in (there are about 75 so far). I have to admit that they have some sound advice about game, and relationships. There is a caveat because they are comedians, and they frequently go off on tangents. But all in all it's a good resource for younger players to help bolster their inner and exterior game.

Patrice O'Neal and The Black Phillip Show were indirectly how I found this forum, and subsequently learned about game and improving myself. It may have saved my life. It's a tragedy that he died.

I am still in denial about his death. Whenever I listen to clips of him on YouTube it is impossible to imagine he is dead.

He is so alive and full of energy it is like he is with you in the room dominating the fuck out of the conversation.

Anyway - Patrice O'Neal was a big influence on me. And I am eternally grateful that I rediscovered his work 2-3 years before he died. I saw him briefly on TV about 14 years ago. And it took me about another ten years to stumble across him again. His message had much more impact on me since he was still alive when I was listening to him.

I really liked his stand-up comedy. But to me he was at his best on the radio. Just improvising and coming up with funny and insightful shit off the cuff.

Nobody was better at breaking shit down and making you see it from a new angle.

And for what it is worth - Patrice O'Neal was the only person in the world I would have loved to have met. To be in the same room as so much intelligence and fun would have being an incredible experience.

Patrice O'neal improved my current relationships with women and any future ones.

I must of listened to black phillip show AT LEAST 3 times.

Every time I listen to Patrice, I become more and more convinced that he was the most intelligent man of the century. He saw the world how it actually is.

Beige Phillip is excellent, but Black Phillip is the high water mark for knowledge. Sadly missed, rest in pimp indeed.

Being in the UK it was so sad when he died - since he is pretty unknown here in the UK.

You have all these wannabe cultural snobs and comedy fans over here. Yet none of them seemed to even notice when one of the funniest people in the world died.

I really felt he died a couple of years before he would have broken through to the mainstream. His performance on the Charlie Sheen roast felt like the start of something big.
