I'm thinking of doing this:

What do you guys think? Parents will pay it and I am very interested in the subjects and it is a good school but I will just have finished my master thesis just weeks prior to this starts, so maybe I would be bored of school in general, and better doing an internship or free travelling. On the other hand, I could apply and see where it goes.

Can't really go wrong studying abroad in most places, you're most likely going to have quite a bit of fun.

Unless you're rolling in money, it might be better to not go to a place that is expensive like London.

I think going to a poorer country would be good for a few reasons

1) Will teach you to live life a bit differently, much more of a culture shock

2) Will probably be more exposed to a non-English speaking society (learning a language should be the top reason to go abroad after having a good time)

3) Chances are the colleges you will be transferred too will be the top colleges in those respected countries. You will be able to network with more privileged kids in those countries, so for an entrepreneurship this would be more useful than just being transferred to a middle of the road university in the Netherlands

4) This depends on the country, but chances are you'll be seen as more exotic than if you went to somewhere in the Anglosphere, useful for getting some of that pus.

5) Your dollar will go very far in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Even if your parents are supporting your trip, chances are you're still going to have some type of allowance and you might go broke in a place like London (I know plenty of college students who have). Living like a king when you're 19 or 20 years old in a place like Romania or Thailand would be awesome.

If you can plan your credits ahead (which you should be able too since you're only a Freshmen), you should try to do a full year in one place.

Ultimately though, you have to list what places have your genuine interest and work from there.

Doing an internship would be more useful by a long shot.
