What you said about top tier women there is bang on and is quite possibly the most frustrating situation I have ever came across in regards to gaming women. Even in places like Sweden or America top tier women feel more attainable than Japan. Friends of mine that have lived there for a long time have hooked up with very hot women, but as you mentioned, it was nearly impossible to date them. Most of them have ended up in LTR with attractive and very solid women. Japanese women are no joke, they are almost perfect LTR material.

But there is the side of the groupie. Some of these women can be pretty hot, but they can also be absolute sewers of disease. There is a joke in Japan that "Japanese birth control is abortion". There are no condoms, no pill and no culture of getting the vag checked unless trying to have a baby.

My take on the whole "foreigner" guy thing and getting with the top-tier Japanese girls:

Me, I never worried about it much. It used to bother me in the old days. But then I realized that it's just part of life. Yes, it always gets one's imagination running when you those 9s and 10s on the beaches of Waikiki or Okinawa or the Ginza or wherever. So what? Love the one (or ones!) you're with. A 6 or 7 over there is still light-years better than a spoiled Ameribrat, so don't worry about it. If you want to bang a 9 or 10, play adultery game and do it that way. And when you think about it, there are always going to be the "top-tier" 9s or 10s that are going to be inaccessible for the average guy. I just accepted the fact that there was always going to be a "glass ceiling" for me as a foreign guy in Japan. You're allowed to move around within the confines of a a certain box, and no further. Welcome to life. Even expats that have married local women and lived there many years have it. I've got a close friend who lives in Tokyo and has a business there with a Japanese business partner. He married a local girl who I'd say is about an 8. Good family, good upbringing, etc.

But what people forget is that these restrictions apply to all Japanese. Everyone has rules and restrictions on them. You're no different. And the fact that you can't bang or date the really "hot" ones? Yeah, it does hurt a bit, in that it feels like an insult. But that's just the way it is. Much of Japanese kabuki drama themes are about the society strangling the individual.

And don't forget that a lot of this snobbery has much to do with class, rather than race. Japanese society was a feudal society for many centuries, and the social classes and noble families were rigidly separated from the other ranks of society. So, we can't take it too personally.
Accept the fact that you're never going to fit in. And even if you could, would you really want to?

I agree with your sentiment as it's pretty accurate but I refuse to accept my place in the box. Fuck the box. I have a friend who broke the code and pulls quality girls regularly but he really dedicated himself to self-improvement. I may not be there yet, but he is my inspiration.

You are right. 9s are very difficult everywhere for the average guy. In Japan, I'd say they are even more difficult. That's why sites like these exist though. So we can become better men than the average guy. I'd say that the first step to better quality is to stop relying on exotic foreigner game and embracing Japanese game.

The friend that I mentioned didn't accept this paradigm. He studied and imitated a certain fashion niche, learned the language extremely well and built a real career over here. Japanese women have gotten notoriously difficult to deal with since 2008. . .and the advent of facebook's popularity due to smart phones becoming the rage there. . .

case in point: Mixi was pretty much the facebook of Japan, and TONS of people used that to hook up with each other, but pretty much since the crash they've pretty much tried their hardest to stop people from meeting each other (failing misrable but yeah it was pretty rediculous)BAsically they were trying to compete with facebook as the iphones were coming in, and facebook has been invading through that avenue.

So with the cost of just HAVING sex being so rediculous, a lot of guys ARE saying "fuck it" and using pocket pussies etc to relieve themselves. . .

There's a lot that this article misses out on, and that most people don't know unless you actually live there, make freinds with people enouh that they drop that "tatemae" wall and give you the real info on what's going on there.

Most clubs DO NOT allow cameras, for video or otherwise unless the club gives explicit permission. Or its before the club actually opens (I have a few myself but that was before the club opened) But clubs would NEVER allow a journalist to come and video tape a club (for very practical, yet long winded reasons that I wont be going over here. . .I touched on them in previous posts). . .there are a few videos of clubs doin self promotion, but thats only on youtube/other online places that wont get the club in trouble.

The thing they are missing that it's not that guys aren't having sex with women. . .

Pretty much this, personally I think it's BECAUSE you are a foreigner that you can break the glass ceiling if you want. Now that you have this site, which has some really nice info that you can use to help you towards that end. If I had found this site while I was there, I would still be there living a lot better than I was before I left (which is why I plan to go back)

Yeah it's weird how this works. I used to experience this phenomenon a lot at the beginning of my stay but now my eyes have more or less adjusted. What looked like a hot Japanese girl now looks average and vice versa. I don't know how or why this happens but my friends have experienced the same thing.

Funnily enough, white girls are beginning to look exotic now so I guess I've come full circle. You get bored with the same body type and hair colour after a while so I find myself hitting on white girls even when they are average.

I traveled to Tokyo from China with my 4 year old white son.

In China my son was huge attraction, everywhere we went at least some people looked, giggled, grinned, oohed and ahhed at him. Many often stopped by to touch his hair, wanted to pose for pictures, etc. He was an absolute 4-year-old rock star lil' white god.

In Tokyo, no one, and I repeat no one, gave a shit about him. Everyone passed by him as if he didn't exist. For two weeks we were there the kid was literally invisible. Not only he didn't get any shred of attention whatsoever, it felt as everyone went out of their way not to even accidentally be associated with his foreign-ness. At best Tokyo citizens were robotic drones, some with barely concealed contempt beneath the shell.

Never been to a country where a cute 4-year-old kid was completely shunned at all levels of society. Even and especially by females. In every other society most females have natural, sunny disposition towards checking out small kids in their midst. Not in Japan (if the kid is foreign.)

There is something to be said about the culture so uptight that its people are so rigid and uncompromising and non-spontaneous to the point of social paralysis, especially toward the foreigners.

This is symptomatic to Japan, because encountering Japanese girls as tourists in Europe and US, although still somewhat stiff, they were a lot more loser and noticeably more open.

Take this story and extrapolate it to game. In China I went through all kinds of pussy. It was free-flowing on tap.

While I hadn't gamed in Tokyo, the impression I got was that as a foreigner I had to be a caricature of "American cool" to get any traction with young girls. At the time it meant I needed to be a young, skinny-jeans wearing pretty-boy overly-fake cool bling-accessorized New York/LA fashionista/hip-hopper. And the impression I got from young Japanese girls is that of sheer dumbness, or rather profound unawareness about the larger world's existence, let alone its substance. These girls haven't heard of anything outside of present day pop-culture paradigm. They love Paris. And they also know of London, Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Leo DiCaprio and Bieber. But ask them who Hitler was and they draw blanks.

That said, I also gotten a good feeling that older Tokyo women (30s and 40s) were much more gameable, even if/when they were married. Some of them looked rather exquisite, with great fashion sense, and demure, but fuck me eyes. Still, a lot of hard work.

The only difference was that I initially reacted positively to this change in Japan. After a while in China, this constant gawking at the foreigner and these repeated utterings of "hellOO! Heeheehee!" wherever you go got on my fucking nerves after a while, so I was releaved to find that the Japanese treated me completely normally. In general, the Japanese just keep to themselves. But it's true that the Japanese can really be uptight sometimes.

Outside of the big cities in Japan is a different story. You get a lot of attention and the groupies will find you. I once had an entire class of giggling schoolgirls line up to ask to take their photo with me. That felt pretty rockstar but a Japanese guy "intervened" to stop me from getting their details lol.

Well yes that stuff does sometimes happen but we are talking about average girls here. I did have one absolute stunner approach me to dance in a club and ended up dating her. She turned out to be a pyscho-bitch though. I should have known it was too good to be true.

I don't think anyone is denying you get attention here as a foreigner but my point is it won't be from the quality girls you dream about.
