I love seeing the manosphere get exposure but when I see it attacked in such a dishonest manner on sites outside of the typical feminist blogs it worries me. Remember the growing police state and our receding digital privacy.

Is the average guy going to stand up and wrestle himself from the grips of fat girl pussy to side with us? Have you ever tried convincing a friend that his girlfriend is a cheating slut or game works or introduce them to the red pill way of thinking? Many are stuck in the Matrix by choice. You had a guy who was completely entrenched in the manosphere for years and had experienced the worst of women first hand yet still chose the blue pill.

Sure, more guys are starting to wake up but other guys are losing their jobs and going to jail for "rape". Every day we see another egregious violation of men's rights, so don't assume this war will be won easily. The further feminists are backed into the corner, the more dangerous they become.

That being said, it's a fight worth fighting.

I came across an old book I ordered on the Beatles invasion of America circa 1964, "Thirty Days That Rocked the World."

Almost 100 percent of the "serious" coverage on them was negative. Newsweek, I think, said they had no sense of melody (LOL!). The point is that anyone who shakes things up and does something new gets slaughtered in the press.

For every one who sees the ABC manosphere piece and thinks "Oh how awful," there will be one or more who think "Wait, they have a point, I'm gonna look deeper into it." There will also be people who go in expecting the worst and get their heads turned around.

Finally, as Andy Warhol said in his book "POPism," ten minutes of TV time caused his popularity to explode in a way dozens of print articles didn't. Get ready for an avalanche.

I recognize Anita Sarkeesian's game. She's a self-promoting hate farmer who creates nothing, believes nothing, and gets money and attention for nothing. The funniest thing is that the two demographics- the "Manosphere" and "Gamers" probably don't cross all that often.

Sarkeesian did what I'm told a horribly butchered presentation on feminism in gaming, which pissed gamers off and is likely where she got the vast, vast, vast majority of her hate. However, how many of us around these parts even give that much of a shit about video games these days? I stopped caring about them around ten years ago.

Do I still play games sometimes? Yeah. Do I pay robust attention to the game market? No. I haven't bought a new one since 2008.

Most of us here are probably in the same boat. Yet according to the ABC hit piece, it was the Manosphere that told her she should die and get raped, when in actually, probably .2% of the Manosphere (if that much) even gave a shit that she did a hack job presentation.

However, I do not expect a narrative-driven acolyte of political correctness to be able to research the constituent parts of the equation and put it together.

Unfortunately, I agree. This is the inevitable result of gaining momentum and wider-recognition. Once the manosphere hit a tipping point - when so many different but related topics can be googled and manosphere sights comes up frequently at the top of the searches, the MSM cannot ignore the increasing challenges to it's own narrative. The SLPC's designation of 'sphere sites as hate groups was the first shot across the bow of this grass roots movement. The Big Network "News" show's "story" on it's "programming" is the next step. They're telling other people who've never heard of the 'sphere what to think if/when they eventually do come across these fringes of the webz.

When that fails to slow the growth of the red pill zeitgeist, THEY are going to move on to the next phase: crackdown.

Increased censorship is a forgone conclusion.

Hate speech litigation has consistently failed before the Supreme Court (of both the liberal and conservative persuasions). That should not be a worry here.

What should be more worrisome is the erosion of online privacy and the pursuit of the PC acolytes to make any deviation from their religion an excuse for economic ostracism. And they will get the government to do their bidding if they can.

This is what people don't seem to understand about free speech and the First Amendment. All speech isn't covered by it now. There are laws against libel and defamation. You can't yell "fire" in a crowded movie theater, because that could lead to injury. Hate speech isn't simply an opinion that someone disagrees with. It's like obscenity - it's hard to define, but you know it when you see it. What's obscene to one may be simply "art" to another. Some forms of speech can be similar.

I'm not so sure Paul Elam is the best representative of the manosphere. MRA's? Sure, but now they've got their work cut out for them. There's so much material to pull out of context that the fem-centric MSM wont have any trouble painting even the most positive aspects of the manosphere as hate-speech and misogyny.
