Sometimes I run into girls that appear to be giving me IOIs... obvious proximity, shaking their hips at me, flashy eyes whatever.

Suddenly upon approach she is totally cold. She's not participating in the conversation and all the sudden you are a douchebag who deserves to die. she walks away or goes back to her friends or whatever, and it's like wtf?

I feel like rejecting dudes is another another one of things that 'empowers' a woman. It's cliche in movies in pop culture.

Girls wants to live out that movie scene where she slaps a man across the face for saying something offensive, throwing water at him, etc...

I get off rejecting girls frankly.

Tonight I had to reject a 24 year old girl who wanted me to come over for some Jack Daniels and ass because I had made plans with another girl I was going to be smashing.

Both girls were new but I wasn't going to cancel on a sure thing for a probably thing.

I got off on it. And I knew I'd probably be able to get on the girl who texted me anyway, even if it took a while for her to nurse her ego and drain her orbiters dry.

It's okay for a man to say no, every now and then. Just don't lose sight of the fact we have to be the ones to be aggressive and make the move.

A lot of girls that I have approached after sending up flares of interest give me ice. Not a rejection, they are just cold initially.
I just stand there and keep going, they either warm up or I walk off.

Sometimes it's just a screen on their part. They are interested.

Girls do this for their ego

It's almost impossible to tell in advance which girls will do this so you might as well approach

Girls in larger groups (4 or more) are much more likely to do this to show off to their girlfriends

I had this happen to me too. Girl checking me out, holding eye contact, I didn't approach, she gets her friend over to me to ask me where I'm from. So I walk over to have a conversation and suddenly they lost their tongue, don't respond and look away. I just didn't care and acted like they didn't exist. Talked to other girls, and during the whole night nobody approached those girls. They looked bored as hell when me and my friends were having fun.

The thing is you never know, maybe she has a bf and doesn't want a new man in her life. For example I had this very very hot girl checking me out (saw it from my eye corner), even laughed at couple of my jokes while I was not even talking to her and never talked to her before, later I approached her but she was not participating. I bail. later I accidentally found her facebook and it turns out she has a long term boyfriend and they looked very happy on photos. So don't assume all girls are sadistic, some just don't want new guy in their life because they already have.

Most of the time, it's other stuff like physical attractiveness, fashion, and body language.

Here it seems like its straight up your ability to talk to a girl. She wouldn't get her friend to open you if she didn't think you were attractive in looks and body language otherwise.

My advice is to start making gaming girls a habit. Do it to almost every girl you talk to, even or especially when you have no desire to close the deal with them. Make hitting on girls and having the gift of gab a muscle memory.

Never run out of things to say. Take the filter off and keep talking.

Lucky for me, all of the women that rejected me never showed me any false IOI.

The reason I approached them is because I like to take risks since I will only live once. I didn't approach them because I thought they had the hots for me. I just like to roll the dice.

you are probably right, it was one month back where I was more beta than I'm now. I remember asking a lot of questions which is a really bad habit of mine. I noticed guys who are really good with girls. Don't ask a lot but just keep talking endlessly. Whereas beta guys desperatly try to ask question to keep the convo going. For example I had girls asking me a lot of questions and I noticed they dropped in value in my eyes. I need to learn stop doing this.

Definitely going up to other girls while she sees is def huge . Plus some girls are just uninterested when you go up to talk to them even if they gave u eye contact before., sadly. It's kind of misleading but its all a part of the game.

Has everyone here videotaped (or recorded) themselves speaking? Because one thing I've heard women say a lot is "I liked him till he opened his mouth."

Often, a high, whiny voice will completely undercut the way you look or your game. So will speaking like one of the "Big Bang Theory" guys or the rabbi on "Seinfeld" (I know guys who speak like this IRL). Sometimes regional accents are seen as "declasse." Anyone have these? These types of speaking voices all go along with accompanying mannerisms which can be a tricky thing. Overdo the masculine energy or the "positive vibe" and you come off like a blowhard. Do too little of it and you end up a wimp.

While this might seem harsh and arbitrary, it makes sense if you turn the tables. How many of us have gotten excited over a hottie only to be completely turned off when she opened her mouth and out came a mannish voice like Emma Stone's -- replete with mannerisms. This has happened to me.

In a way, gaming is like acting. You have to calibrate just the right persona, esp. during a first impression. If this is a recurrent problem for some of you, I'd recommend asking a female friend for a no-holds-barred critique of your style.

I did this once. The woman I asked said I was "cute but too hyper and anxious." I asked her for an example of a guy who wasn't like this. She said "Dylan from 90210." So I watched a bunch of it and took on a bunch of his mannerisms, specifically the way he slooowly took his time between words and how he kept his voice at one tone (rarely getting high-pitched). I'm in a field where I do interviews, so I was able to track my progress through my interview tapes. This worked out not only when it came to women, but in business too.

Beyond that, women often do illogical things like turn off to men they liked a second ago because they're...women -- something every guy from Dickens to Franklin to Flavor Flav has complained about at some point.
