Social Consequences of a US default
I remember a post from Roosh talking about the end of American Feminism:
http://www.rooshv.com/why-feminism-in-america-will-die

I've been watching with a close eye what will possibly happen if the default actually occurs. From what i'm seeing, basically the sequel to the Great Depression.

I wonder if a major depression occurs, will we see the end of the PC police and even better a large societal upheaval against social welfare?

I'm curious. It will definitely be interesting.

A default will unfortunate and hard on a lot of people, but think of it as flooding a building to stop a bad rat infestation. The country has more leeches than hosts, and something has to happen. I was watching a show yesterday the mentioned the Greatest Generation and what they happily sacrificed during WWII. The majority of Americans now would never do that, and when shit gets real tight, they will not in a good position. Idiots like Anal Dash and his IRT girlfriend will be tracked down.

The GOP caved in, there won't be a default.

The only way to see it's consequences is to see it in person.

I'm so glad you're not in power.

Why is that there are so many self righteous people who think we need to pay and suffer and expiate our sins? What they really mean is the "others" need to pay and suffer.

The consequences of a US default wouldn't just affect just a handful of people that leech off of the government, it would affect the whole world economy, it could possibly bring a depressions but proponents of this idea always think, yeah it would be hard but it's needed, like it's not a big deal, but in their minds they believe they wouldn't be affected, just the "others", the leeches, not themselves, the doers, because it's always the others who are the sinners.

RE: Social Consequences of a US default
There's a subtle change already. It's not in the news but the news is a lie.

Here's what I see:

The sugar daddy sites are actual hard data. Huge increase in female sugar babies.

I had a party girl colleague at work try to open me. Before she'd never even spoken to me, sometimes was silent in response to a direct question like "Are you using this copy machine?" Looked at me like she wanted me to die because I politely asked if the machine was open. A few weeks ago she tried to open me. Flattering, smiling, preening her hair. All of it. I don't shit where I eat so I politely replied to her questions only.

Buddy of mine says his favorite bar is crawling with semi pros after being quiet for years. A bar for people over 50 now has 30-something women hitting on the over 50 men all the time. Same guy says 20 and 30 something waitresses, barmaids, and cashiers are opening him all the time now.

AMP prices dropping. The places are springing up like weeds.

Single girls in my social circle settling and letting themselves get wifed up.

Single guys who couldn't find gf's now have them. When you meet the girl you can tell she's settling and tired of being scared over her finances. The mommy and daddy money well has run dry.

Don't feel sorry for them guys. They lie to themselves about everything. Now they will lie to themselves that they've always wanted a nice guy who respects them and will take care of them emotionally and financially.

I don't believe the sugar daddy story. The data isn't convincing, and to think that one day after a shutdown, women everywhere are impoverished and needing of cash, just doesn't make any sense. Are we really supposed to believe that female government workers are whoring themselves out on these sites?

I'm glad someone else has raised the question. I thought about it for a bit and wondered if there are stats for all dating sites in general and male/female.

The signal to me is that 800,000 just went on furlough vacation. When i was married and in my rampant cheating phase my biggest streaks were when I was laid off and my wife was still working. Multiply that by 800,000 and I would think there would be a spike in people looking to get laid with all of that time off vs. a spike alone in chicks looking for economic support.

looking for a new signature.

of course not. However, consider this: a lot of the colleges that the seeking arrangement sites market towards are on the quarter system and are just starting up their fall quarter.

Some of the incoming first year students and returning students are facing more student loan debt than any other year thanks to the increasing college costs. They come back and look at their options,

1) get a job

2) get more loans and further into debt

3) try find a sugar daddy.

Given the new aggressive advertising campaign from the sugar daddy websites, a lot of the girls will be considering option 3 that never knew of or heard of it before

I personally hope more women end up with "sugar daddies" - they're rarely physically attracted to the guys they end up and are the kind who are looking for fun on the side, usually. More than a woman who is with a guy and they struggle to make ends meet.

Think about it, it's reverse prostitution. Using a man as a financial buffer and having to feign attraction/sleep with him probably gets annoying.

The economy has been stagnant long enough and the job situation bad enough long enough that the planets are aligning. Furloughs, shutdowns, defaults, are just markers that historians will point to.

The underlying factors are there.

I was running Day Game in a coffee shop and overheard 2 WNB chicks talking about fucking their college TA's. None of this "He's cute." or "He's sexy." All about improving their grades and his future prospects of a job.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Congressional negotiations to end a U.S. fiscal crisis gripping Washington and spooking financial markets hung by a thread on Saturday after bipartisan talks broke down in the House of Representatives and shifted to Senate leaders.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat, held an initial session with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell. But uncertainty remained about their ability to reach an agreement quickly to end a partial government shutdown and increase the nation's borrowing authority...

This is like being on the hill going up a roller coaster. I cannot believe more people aren't concerned.

There is not really much people can do at this point, so why be worried?

Besides, these fools in Congress are only hurting themselves if they don't raise the debt ceiling. The market will drop like a rock if there is not deal by October 17th, so I don't think people should start to panic just yet.

There won't be a default, all of this is a game of chicken...

....even wall street said they will stop funding tea partiers and start funding other republicans who challenge them. The thing is, the tea partiers don't give a fudge but as we know, money moves the monkey and the business side of the GOP will take over.

I wouldn't want to be in US when that happens. Everbody is waiting there to pull out their gun and start shooting each other. Just imagine what would happen in case of shortage of supplies. Shooting each others brains out for some food and whatnot. I think there would be enough food but the chaos will be the worst.

A default would be great because it would shake up the world in a positive direction and shake people out of their hypnosis. However, it is very improbable because it would threaten the government's power and keeping their power is important to them.

There will be no positive direction from a default. If by a positive direction you mean another global recession as bad as the 08 financial crisis then yeah, you are right. In the end, the government and the elites will not lose anything but the common man will.

How do you default when you bring in over 10x the amount of interest in revenues?

You keep pushing this Fox News talking point, don't you? The government only brings in enough tax receipts to cover 68% of current government spending. Think that over for a bit, Sport. Now, there are millions of payments that have to be made daily, and there are spending and revenue spikes throughout the month because the payments and revenue streams occur at different times and in different magnitudes. If Treasury screws up the prioritization either because it screws up the reprogramming of its computers or it runs short on funds on any given day, then it could easily default on some bond payments:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story...=231592958

Plus, even if the Treasury Department successfully manages prioritization, it still could lead to a debt default because the very deep cuts to spending or outright non-payment will focus public pressure to pay for social spending (medicare, medicaid, social security, veteran benefits, military pay, food stamps, etc.) and stiff the Chinese, Japanese, European, etc bond holders since there is only 68% of the money that existed before to pay all the bills.

Think. It is a good thought.

Edit: here is a chart and article that describes how much more time until the USA runs into a wall because it is no longer able to borrow after Oct. 17:

It's inevitable to happen, so is it better to happen now or down the road with worse intensity? The USA has structural issues that Congress won't touch with a 10 foot pole which will cause the system to go belly up anyways. So it's really just a matter of putting on the big boy pants now or later.

This whole circus is about keeping the car driving towards the cliff and how quick or slow to speed on the gas. Nobody, not even once, in a position of power has pushed the idea of a realistic structural change that would put America back on steady roads again. It's all a farce, those guys have no legitimacy and have shown their colors as nothing more then stooges just committed in keeping their largess of pork rolling through. If anything Obama could use dictatorial Executive means to shred certain (well..l basically all) Amendments in favor of keeping the USA debt Amendment in tact.

It will be interesting to see what happens if the EBT food stamp credit cards get declined.

I'm guessing some rioting/looting of local stores.

Afterwards there will be more crime and possible home invasions in the nearby suburbs.

This could be a good time to stock up on some canned foods, a gun and bullets.
