RE: Anyone here married & happy?
I'm married and happy.

Most of what I read here about "gaming your wife" is wayyy too complicated.

Look, the bottom line is, you need to be an alpha guy who makes a lot of money, so that she can stay home and not work and raise the kiddies. That is how marriages work. There are lots of famiiles in my neighborhood exactly like that. Husband is alpha worker, wife is submissive and happy to stay home. It really is that simple. Those families have good odds of staying the distance. The families with a working career wife are almost never successful.

Foreign marriages to Thai women, etc, are successful because by foreign standards, American men make huge paychecks and so the "man as the wage earner" model is implicit.

All this crap about "gaming" your wife, I'm sorry, is kinda irrelevant. Sure you manage her a bit, but she's going to be managing you too, and women are much smarter about managing men.

Ultimately if you are bringing home the 100k+ paycheck that feeds her and the kids, then that is your power. That and only that. The rest is bullshit in my opinion.

Being the alpha is gaming your wife. We're not talking about pickup game we're talking about relationship game. Different animals. An alpha manages his wife because he is the leader. You'll get the dominance checks regularly and you'll get the affection requests subtly. If you don't learn and manage your woman in the direction you need her to go to keep that ship sailing then you're going to be a statistic. Relationship game is a very subtle and tactful art that takes all game principals and refines them to work long term. You want your wife to become unattractive? How do you motivate her to keep up? How do you keep the passion alive 10+ years in after the kids are born? How do you keep her submissive enough to follow your lead and active enough to not have to micromanage? Game. No substitute for it.

Mmmm..yeah well whatever. My point is, you better have the paycheck to back that up, otherwise it's all irrelevant, in my experience.

I think the point is that it's incredibly difficult to maintain a viable LTR or marriage in the US these days and thus some sort of game is required. Its not just money (although sadly as you point out it's often a big part of it), it's other things as well that you need to do to maintain your own frame and keep both you and the woman happy.

With divorce laws dramatically skewed against men, the rise of Feminism, mainstream anti-male culture, the lies the mainstream media continue to report about male-female relationships and and 'no-fault' divorce women have men by the balls basically. Due to this fact, married women are in some ways incentivized to push men to the limit in marriage given the tremendous downside men face in a divorce scenario. There are basically no incentives to keep the women in check - to the contrary, society constantly caters to them and has created a 'victim' culture whereby almost anything they do can be excused away due to them being 'oppressed' by men. So they are incentivized to leave for even the most trivial of reasons. This is why something like 70+% of all divorces are instigated by American women. These women would have to be of incredibly strong moral fiber to not let all the bad influences jade them and make them difficult partners, at least to some extent.

RE paychecks, well if that's the case then for the average American guy I say why not downsize and move to another country and marry someone who is a better long-term partner potentially? By that I mean a woman who's less demanding, more feminine, prettier, kinder, gentler, less overweight, not exposed to Feminist anti-male propoganda, etc. I realize you can't do it now given that you are already married, but if I was single I'd think long and hard about either staying single and playing the field and/or moving abroad to a place where marriage is less dangerous for men (if indeed you wanted to have kids and get married).

Frankly your arguments point more to the disastrous situation men face in the US in the marriage contract. It's why so many men are either choosing not to get married or in some cases leaving. I do agree with you that the most viable marriages in the US would be the ones like yours with the man working and the woman at home taking care of the kids. But that's not what the governement wants now - they want two full time workers paying taxes to them and outsourcing much of the childcare - or at least that's what their policies seem to be doing.

All that said, I'm glad your marriage is going well - good for you. Sadly that's not the case with most people (i.e. 50% get divorced eventually, and of the remaining 50% I'm sure at least half of those guys are really unhappy and get pushed around by their wives bc they dont' have the strength to push back).

For a lot of good men trapped in loveless, sexless marriages the situation is like this!!!

In any case, I've never been married so would be interesting to hear your views on the above, and for you to 'break down' your situation and why it's working well (other than being the provider & having a stay at home wife, which I think is a good start). Thx.

I like this one, everyone needs a job on the team. If you're both working then you're both competing for the same spot on the team. Did Aaron Rogers and Brett Farve get along both trying to play QB...fuck no.

But Aaron Rodgers played his role of watching one heLL of a QB do what he did and for that he now reaps the benefits being the #1 QB on that team. My wife may be more successful(read CEO) she knows better than to come home and think she can boss me around like her employees as she pleases. Never lose frame. Who really friggin' cares about marriage stats and yada yada yada...sounds like nerds spewing off Fantasy football stats and looking for a better angle. the Better angle is trust your gut, find a legit girl and put in the requisite work to make her bend to your will. There still is women who will do so and it's time for us, as men, to realize you ARE the prize, not her, her fertility, her narrow hip-wasit ratio or radiant skin. That shit will fade and you will be left with what you put into your girl mentally so that she doesn't drive you insane with her poor behavior. Train them right the first time and the benefits pay off tenfold. Let's keep on target with what the OP was asking for and not drive everybody off with divorce, worthless women stats..we know these numbers and yet we still want to walk the minefield of marriage because some guys just want that for themselves. To each his own, fellas.

I doubt it. Remember that your lower level, millenial leftist isn't good at critical thinking. They're largely like trained dogs who emote in response to programmed cues like the word "racism" and "socialism". Easy_C

RE: Anyone here married & happy?
I've been married for about 5 years now and I gotta say there is not much difference in my subjective happiness level vs. when I was single.
You just get pleasure out of different things in life after you are married.
Oh - and go ahead and have kids right away, otherwise there is no point in getting married.
