This trend appeared on Twitter back in 2011, now it's back and people are tweeting pick up lines associated with the shut down.

Since some of us get on OKC/POF/MM, I thought it would be fun to experiment with some shutdown lines to see what happens....perhaps some lizzard will dig our bait.

Edit: Just remembered that a lot of RVFers live in D.C.......perfect opportunity against those independent women.

Coming from former Soviet Union I can testify that humour is a nations savior in dark times. It's the green spring that breaks stone pavement.

From this the joke arose:
