Why Things are Masculine or Feminine
After seeing this recent sliding, baroquely complicated chart on gender, I realized that so much conflict in the world is a result of semantic misunderstandings or manipulations. [Image: 1600-Genderbread-Person.jpg]

Language is the key to self-awareness. When language falls apart, so do we.

The only things that make sense on that chart are the biological sex and the sexual orientation, and in most cases it isn't a perfect balanced sliding scale where the in-betweens are equally represented in real life.

Truth is that the majority of people are heterosexual, so that should probably take up something like 90% or more of the scale.

As far as biological sex goes, there are relatively few hermaphrodites in existence compared the number of males and females, so it doesn't make sense that would get such a huge chunk of that scale. Since science hasn't figured out a way to ACTUALLY make a sex change happen (for example, giving a woman a working penis that can impregnate other women), "transsexuals" don't count.

The rest of the graph doesn't make sense because there are reasons why certain things are considered masculine while other are considered feminine.

Take short hair for instance. My understanding is that short hair is considered masculine because men who fought in wars found it more advantageous to have short hair. It wasn't some form of artistic/fashion expression.

When a woman cuts her hair short, she is not empowering herself. It's not some female power thing- it's the opposite. She is imitating a man. It's promoting masculinity. Short hair will always be masculine.

Words are functional. They have purpose. They are not just decorations. Women want to make them about form.

If men didn't have to go to war, then we might not have cut our hair. Does that make us more feminine? No. That said, there probably are some inherently feminine things that men could do that would be imitating women. One thing that comes to mind is when men where those baby sacks that make the look like marsupials. This is clearly a man imitating a woman.

I dedicate this thread to understanding why things are the way they are.

I believe that if we get to the bottom of why something is called masculine or feminine, we can better argue against smoke and mirror semantics like those found in this chart.

So, what are some other things that are masuline or feminine? Behaviors, dress, interaction styles.. these are all up for discussion here. Let's get to the bottom why things are the way they are.

Here's a public flogging of feminists playing language games to further their selfish agenda:

RE: Why Things are Masculine or Feminine
Masculine energy is grounded, that's the biggest difference. The feminine seeks boundlessness, the masculine seeks to make boundaries and be grounded. The feminine seeks fluidity, the masculine seeks rigidity.

We often call feminists masculine, but in fact the opposite is true, they are hyperfeminine. Rape culture, patriarchy, these are infinite, boundless concepts, reflective of the feminine. MRAs are an expression of the masculine, they seek groundedness. They list their grievances in list form and suggest solutions, they seek a state of groundedness.

The biggest mistake we make with feminists is that we believe they seek a state of groundedness. They don't. Women might want equality, but the feminine doesn't, because equality is a state of groundedness. The feminine is ravenous. It cannot be satiated, it will never be grounded, because it does not seek to be grounded. It wants to be in motion, it wants to be hysterical. They discuss their grievances in terms of boundless concepts like patriarchy that can never be grounded.

We need more masculine energy in our society, we don't have enough "grounded" energy, we go hysterical over everything now.

RE: Why Things are Masculine or Feminine
Most of this is simply the result of our society transitioning from a religious one to therapeutic one. By that, I mean instead of having strict, socially enforced rules that provide defenses against anti-social energy, often ported out as narcissistic rage (think Lester from "American Beauty") we have a society based on shoring up all this negative energy without the framework from before.

Given my conservative impulses, even when I was a Democrat I was dimly aware that the Sexual Revolution was incredibly stupid for Americans to engage in. Now, I recognize that is because precisely we have ZERO understanding, collectively, to deal with our sexual impulses. You often hear women bemoaning the lack of rules in the dating arena. This is primarily a complaint that the security that traditional dating brought helped a person deal with anti-social energy represented by sexuality.

[Image: quote-we-re-more-sexually-repressed-than...127866.jpg]

Sure, guys on this forum don't struggle with that, but wider society does. The focus on rape by feminists represents their struggle to put a chill on expression of sexuality by creating new rules to repress sexuality. Of course, their authoritarianism is disgusting and their lack of desire to shackle female sexuality means their approaches are social dead-ends, but will take many innocent lives and quash healthy sexual expression.

For others, Christians have their approaches which are, as well, rooted in female-centric approaches. Neither are healthy and in order for society to have healthy approaches women have to stop regarding men as privileged and the enemy. This is intimately rooted in narcissism, as women only consider men at the apex of society or their own hierarchies. However, there is much more going on here, which I will explain later in a different thread in the new forum.

Still, considering soup's posted photo, consider the equality of society. A narcissistic society that claims to want "equality" will have anti-intellectual drivel like this produced. People who run in these circles know that being white, male or heterosexual is all hated (rage). Therefore, they need ways to simultaneously self-aggrandize and avoid social judgment.

The inherent, long-standing problem is the continuous obsession of judging people for immutable characteristics. America has a long history of this, as judging people for the color of their skin was a socially approved way to express their inner rage. Since people are still getting signals it is okay to express their rage at somebody's color of skin, these folk port it out on whites because they have power. See the difference? Instead of rules-based expression (towards blacks) it shifts to narcissistic expression (towards whites). Notice how WN's talk about black power. Previous generations would have talked about rules-based approaches (Look, we can't have them in our schools, it's the law!) to narcissistic ones (Look, blacks have way too much power these days!)

This is important because of the genderqueer obsession. I can't change my skin color, but with queer politics, I can create a world in which I can be anything. Notice how you can take up the mantle of queer expression as a woman by shaving your head, or a man who is a metrosexual of the highest order. Given how women are not interested in seizing real power, know that shaving their heads is not an expression of power, but of what she perceives to be "rebelling" without rebelling.

Genderqueer and all this hot garbage is purely a product of narcissistic generation that is desperate to be different and shine, but is horribly afraid of becoming anybody, so they cough up this bullshit that allows them to entrench the normality of their behavior (people need to accept me!) while also not really challenging anything. Remember the Occupy movement? Completely hollow - it stood for nothing. Had some members tried to take real stands, the supporters would have gotten "bored" (see that word bandied about in these sorts of circles, huh?) and moved back home to their parents.

Odds all, the vast majority of these folk are regular white, heterosexual folk who have no real identity, have faced no real challenges in life and desperately seeking a real identity, but have not been given the tools. Traditional society has been destroyed and with it, the primal connection to previous generations. They exist in the moment and have no past and no future. They afix themselves to fleeting concepts of radical politics that allows them to shore up their sense of self when they are young. All that rage based out of a lack of identity is expressed through rageful approaches to radical politics, almost exclusively left-wing now. Note the nihilism of ZeroHedge is also an expression of this, as well.

However, they will always abandon these approaches as they age as narcissists supremely fear age & death and society refuses to allow people to toy with identity issues past a certain age. I always warn about these types as once they abandon these politically-based approaches, they will couple off and marry and have children. Those children will be exposed to ALL their unused emotional energy that should have gone to establishing a concrete, real personal identity.

Trust me, I was there. From birth. It is never positive and is a huge net loss for everybody involved as nobody changes and a newly born human is "gifted" the same deficient issues as the parent.

MRA is not masculine because it engages feminism on the feminists terms.

It's like getting into an argument with a girl. A real man knows how to manipulate the situation so that either the argument doesn't come up, or he can stop in it's tracks without letting her frame the situation.

That's why I think players are more masculine then MRAs.

Embodying masculine energy isn't really about being a bad ass, men can (and probably should) be compassionate and understanding you know.

I agree, game culture embodies masculine energy. MGTOW also embodies masculine energy. I think MRAs do too.

In the first couple centuries of Western Christendom, mystics would often perform great feats of endurance such as staring at a wall for days or balancing on the top of a pole for months and years. This is an expression of the masculine seeking God. It seeks God through being unmovable, unflappable.

Game culture embodies this kind of masculine energy, you realize the culture is dysfunctional and you respond by being unmovable, unflappable.

MRAs embody the masculine too, because they seek a state of groundedness. Look at all the rape hullabaloo. Feminists and manginas who embody the feminine go totally hysterical over it, there's no groundedness whatsoever, I mean they've absolutely devolved into the comically hysterical. They don't even care if someone's life is ruined over a false accusation.

How do MRAs respond? Not by saying rape isn't a terrible crime or that we can ignore it. They respond by trying to cut through all the hysteria and return the discussion to a state of groundedness. To this end, MRAs value facts and unbiased research into the prevalence of rape. They value a fair and grounded justice system, not a hysterical one.

A good justice system should embody the masculine and the feminine. It should be grounded without being rigid. It should be flexible without being hysterical.

And by the way, this dance of masculine/feminine is part of relationships. Most women will want you to embody a strong, unflappable masculine flame they can be in motion around. If you can't do this, if you can't embody this energy women are usually disappointed.
