Try dSploit password sniffer+SSLStrip but I don't think it will work if they're already logged in. I don't think that Meet Me uses SSL so it should work just with dSploit if they're logged out and trying to log in. The other way is to capture packets using tPacketCapture Pro (it's paid so use google to find it), selecting Meet Me as target and then analysing the pcap on your pc with wireshark but that's a little bit complicated...

I just realized I have my spare S3 (my everyday phone is an S4) sitting here and I could easily match what you have installed and then try it to see if it is in fact the network or if it is 4.3 that is fucking this up. What ROM are you running mental?

Tried it on an S3 with stock 4.1.2 and no dice. It still didn't let me use any of the replacements or connection kills so I assume the password sniffer wouldn't work. It must be some security measure on the network even though it's open.

Try a nightly build (an experimental build), and use busybox smart install since smart install is more comprehensive and try another network. Maybe you are right and they secured it somehow... Try using login cracker after scanning for ports (select the router you're trying to crack, not subnet or any devices and make sure to change your MAC address so they don't know it was your phone), select http-head or http (whatever is green) and leave it overnight to let the phone try to crack the router login if it's changed so you could try to disable firewall and any security (select a-zA-Z0-9 so it will try all combinations and select 1 to 6 letters). There is also the possibility they are using a switch that doesn't let 2 computers have the same MAC address, and if that's the case, it won't work on that network, altough that is extremely rare. Try going to another bar with a wifi with both S3 and S4 and try to enter any password on one of them (it doesn't matter if it's correct or not, it will still catch it).

Edit: you can also download this wordlist (15 gigabytes of words, also contains every wikipedia word in every language from 2010, words from a lot of books, most common passwords... it contains 1,493,677,782 words), selecting user wordlist in login cracker, and using this wordlist to try to crack the login of the router... Just leave your S3 running for a while with changed MAC and let it try to crack...

Looked on the Framaroot page but I didn't see the S4 listed. Also Googled it but didn't find any reliable looking results listed.

I found something. If your phone CPU is qualcomm follow this guide, and if it's Samsung's Exynos octacore CPU or if you're not sure follow this guide, but first check if your phone is listed in the first guide if you'll follow that one so you won't brick it. I'd also advise you to backup anything on internal memory in case something goes wrong. Just in case, did you try framaroot anyway? It won't damage your phone if it doesn't work.

Edit: if by any chance something goes wrong (ie phone not booting up fully) this guide contains the firmwares and instructions how to restore it.

I don't think that root method works anymore. They blocked it with an ota update. You basically need to downgrade and then run a root method. There is a thread on xda of people with the same phone model on WIND talking about it and linking to the instructions (they appear to be the same instructions as how to root the t-mobile american version). Okay, I found out that SGH-M919V is basically the same as SGH-M919 so downloading CF-Root for M919 and flashing it as PDA in Odin should root it.

Edit: gotta go so if by any chance your phone becomes bricked download one of these firmwares and flash it as PDA and it should be back as new.

When I try to update, it fails. Googling solutions now but if you guys know what to do then that would be great!

Uninstall Superuser if you can and use CF-Root method above because Motochopper was fixed in OTA as Slacker said.

Edit: I'll explain how. Download Odin, turn off phone, hold volume down+home+power, and when you get a warning press volume up to enter download mode. Connect the phone to PC, run Odin, extract the .zip CF-Root file, press PDA and find the CF-Root file then flash it. You can install the firmware the same way.

Holy shit guys. Ok. So I installed Heimdall 1.4 then it kept crashing because my OS is Mac OSX 10.7.5. Now I'm downloading Mac OSX 10.8. Going to install OSX 10.8 to be able to run Heimdall without it crashing. After I get that done, I still really don't have a clue as to how to use Heimdall.
