New Army Tattoo Restrictions

New Army Tattoo Restrictions

no tattoos below the elbow or knee or neck. I hope this trend carries over to police departments as well. There's something about a cop with visible tattoos that just doesn't sit well with me.

Otherwise, I like this rule because it means that I'm excluded from service. I wonder if they'd keep this rule if there was some sort of draft.

If there was a draft they last thing they would be worried about is tattoos. This is just another way of cutting down and being more selective.

I wouldn't call it exactly a backslash, but more of a "another way to let less people in" to comply with Reduction in Force.

It should be pointed out that the new regulation hasn't yet been implemented. It's still at the recommendation stage.

Also, the new reg will only apply to new recruits and not to anyone currently in the force. Everyone in currently would be grandfathered in.

Other branches have been like this for awhile. The Army is just the most desperate to make numbers.

As for a tattoos the moko should be mandatory for 11 series personnel.
