I'm really not shocked by this. A woman like her, young and attractive, generally doesn't marry and not want kids. Especially when they marry a man of the stature of Jordan. That locks her in to fat checks in the event of breakup, on top of division of assets, etc. Even with a pre-nup, she'll be in good shape.

Look at this shit. She KNEW he had a vasectomy. That sure as hell was not a deal breaker to get married. But as soon as she they get married, she's making demands and he's doing what she wants. Not sure if you followed Jordan's kids' hoops exploits, but they aren't going to be in the NBA much less winning the finals. They played for university of central florida in college, one of them did OK but they aren't going to the NBA or anything.

Why would things be any different if he has more kids? They will still grow up spoiled.

That said, if he wants more kids, he should have more kids, he can certainly afford it.

Yeah, we need those genes, but not the way he is doing it - mixing and diluting his with a Latina - i.e. white/indegenous. Its a crap shoot whether the kids get the genes.

Just like his sons with the prior wife -a little too much Latin as well.

He needs to be breeding with tall women of relatively pure West African stock - to increase the chances of fast twitch muscle, hand -eye coordination, and height being passed on to his kids.

It just doesn't work that way. It's exceptionally rare for a great athlete to produce a great athlete. Chances are much higher that the kid turns out to be playing for the Chicago Cubs AA affiliate, or working at this same affiliate as a receptionist because "papa" got her that job.

Jordan has no purpose in life outside of competition.

More than any other former player, he'd step back onto the court in a second if he could. It's no secret that he's spent most of the last decade telling himself that it could happen.

His contemporaries, Barkley, Bird, Johnson, Ewing, Malone etc. by contrast would have to think about it, even given the chance.

Having kids is one the few accomplishments he has left. A few men are all but above criticism, and as far as I'm concerned, Michael Jordan is a member of that select group.

A lot of men are not interested in neutering themselves. Vasectomies are not for everyone.

That would still be a great athlete (read: better than about 99% of others competing, most of whom never even sniff the pros in any minimal capacity or manage to get scholarships). Such a kid would probably have been dominant on the youth, high school and/or college level.

The chances of him producing a true superstar are minimal, yes, but the chances of him producing a very good athlete (not an NBA all-star but good enough to dominate youth leagues, dominate in high school, and probably do decently in D1 NCAA or dominate at the mid-major, D2 or D3 level) are probably much higher.

Extreme outliers on Jordan's level are tough to replicate, but players on the less extreme but still very positive end of the spectrum are much easier to repeat. Good athletes do tend to produce good athletes to go along with occasional freak outliers like Adrian Peterson and MJ. You just don't hear as much about the merely "good" ones.

Maybe Jordan got out his ruler and measured her Achilles tendon. ha. After reading The Sports Gene I'll be checking that out if I ever have more kids.
