I've looked at amazon ad placement and I've heard that it's hard to make money with Amazon affiliate ads. If you're blog sells $2000 worth of amazon merchandise, you're lucky if you get 2 or 3 hundred.

Amazon pays 4-10% depending on the item, but that can add up if you have high volume. For reference, I'm making $100-300/month with ~1000 daily views at Thumotic, and I don't feel like I'm doing as good a job of monetizing as I could be.

My advice:

Throw up a bang link widget and a few amazon links to Mystery Method and whatnot, I'm pretty sure you'll immediately be making more than enough to pay for hosting and change.


Here's a blog that's well-crafted to 1) attract motivated readers, and 2) funnel those readers to purchases. Study it and apply the strategies you learn to NBG.

Screw adsense and affiliate links.
Put an opt-in box on your page and make your visitors sign up with their email address. Then sell them a product on how to bang fat chicks. Preferably your own video course for 200+ dollars and you can keep all the profits.
