With job prospects ranging from middling to poor, it isn't surprising that men from poorer countries like Russia will try to marry into women that can provide additional income, or commitment-free sex. I suspect a lot of these guys try to use the American gf/wife as a foothold into the country. That's not to say that sometimes it doesn't work out, but I am wondering just how much motivation outside of love plays an impetus for these types of relationships.

I am not "Russian" but now that Americans consider everyone around Russia to be "Russian" (including Germany and China...lol), then Yes I am "Russian", since I am from eastern Europe and what applies to Russian men, also applies to eastern European men in general...so in other words I can see why many Russian men will look elsewhere:

* Slavic women are overhyped.
* Some guys simply dislike the typical "Slavic look" (triangular faces, deep eyes, "circles" under the eyes, reddish hair etc.).
* Some guys may not like the "soft"-sounding Russian language.
* Very hard to bed Slavic girl on the first date due to her "traditional mentality".
* Women with zero personality
* Passport hunters...

With that being said I am not saying American women are my ideal of beauty, but just that they're underrated and...it's possible to find a one who is perfect out of population of 150 million or so?

^^^ this goes against common forum logic and my experience. Even the relatively few "good natured western 7s" know their value and exploit it to an extent, and are a privileged class. They also are almost always non-feminine, can't cook, are crappy mothers etc....many have ridden the cock carousel too.

Among western women, Anglosphere women in particular are on average generally HORRIBLE for relationships. They are generally narcissistic iphone and Instagram idiots who are told they are "special" and strong and "don't need a man" all their lives so they act accordingly. They are also pampered and encouraged by the media, culture and society to practically think that they can do no wrong and are always in the right and/or are "victims" of some sort (e.g. "you go girl" and "rape culture").

Moreover, if you ever did turn an LTR into marriage then, well, when it all goes to sh*t in a marriage you as the man typically both lose 1/2 your income (or worse) along with the children's custody. Great deal for men!!

Not sure what you are saying here but you seem to be extrapolating from one good relationship with a western 7 that somehow these girls are all like that. RVFers can assure that they are not! Perhaps the fact that she came from Bulgaria made here different and more "traditional" I guess.

Personally I would say that of my 10 or so LTRs with Slavic women that practically every one was a better LTR candidate than the Western women I've been with.

@Bacardi123 you do know that Utah is a heavily Mormon state and even though those girls were horny most tend to be fairly religious and a bit tougher to crack? The only Russian men that marry western Anglophone women do it because of some ideology such as Mormonism or fundamental Christianity such as Valery Bure & Candace Cameron or in order to get attention such as Wladimir Klitschko & Hayden Panettiere. His brother is a politician in Ukraine and I think he also wants to start a political career so the attention helps. I also have to point out that both these women are in the top 5% in looks anywhere in the world for their age.
The only Russian guys I met who weren't married to other Russians were married to Latinas.
