Can someone hook me up with one. I'm trying to figure out if there are parties from Sunday-Wednesday. It will make the difference whether I stay one weekend or a week and I'd like to know the good spots to stay and go out so I don't waste my time.

i dont think there is anyone on the forum that has any significant experience with porte alegre.

I met a German guy who studies at a university in Porto Alegre when I was in Rio. He says its cool but not as fun as other parts of Brazil. He says it reminds him of Germany but more dangerous.
