The question is whether "Style" landed her because of his game or his dollars.

Based on what I've seen of "PUAs" in real life (L.A./Hollywood is a small world) and based on a friend of mine who worked with him for years has told me, I'd go with the latter.

But now the guy can become a "former bad boy who is now a committed husband" and make bank selling relationship advice.

God bless him. Let's just hope he makes more money selling books than he'll lose in the divorce.

Incidentally, it may sound like sour grapes, but oh well. I would not marry a chick that hot. It's going to cause problems and lead to drama.

Girls who look like that do not have any character. They have been given everything in life, have never really had adversity, and have never had to deal with the struggles of life that make us stronger people.

But all joking aside, Strauss did really well for himself. In The Game he said that he didn't get anything from his music connections and salary. It's clear that game did the job. Although I have no doubt that he bank account is a lot fatter these days.

He's idolized by a lot of guys and wanted by girls. Kinda like the high school Football hero. He probably changed a lot of lives with his book too. I know from personal experience( a much much smaller scale of course) that that makes you feel pretty damn good. Whenever I have a bad day, I read my book reviews and it makes me feel like I'm making a difference. Strauss must have that on a massive scale.

He had money, status as a Rolling Stone writer, and celebrity connections before he had any game, and never got any chicks.

He has famously said that while on tour with Motley Crue while doing their autobiography, he routinely was surrounded by groupies yet the only kiss he got the entire time was on the forehead from Tommy Lee.

Furthermore, he doesn't have that much money. He's done well with his two bestsellers The Game and Emergency, but living in LA that money wouldn't put him in the top tier financially.

Compound that with the fact that he's 5'5" and close to 50 years old, and there's no denying he's got game.

Did you actually see Neil at Saddle Ranch? We can agree that PUAs are mostly idiots, but in the same vein we'd agree that they're mostly broke, out of shape, and without much of a ceiling to better their lives.

Neil has clearly bettered his life, made a fair amount of money, and probably maximized his looks given his genetic deficiencies. Furthermore, in going by his journalist credentials, you can assume he's bright and articulate.

I'm not at all saying that he pulled this chick using PUA gimmicks. He pulled her because he's confident, intelligent, and has shit going on in his life. The same way we all do it.

If he had a harem like some of the guys in the Travel forum, then I'd see your point. But we're talking about one attractive girl who wants to marry him. How is that such a mindblowing feat, that you can't just give him props for marrying out of his league?

Major fame due to teaching Game to millions of men (myself included) via "The Game"

Neil's active game:

Clever routines
Opinion openers
Good use of DHV'ing himself by dropping famous names and places


Weighing out the two, and based on what MikeCF reports, I'd say that Neil's passive game did most of the work for getting him this marriage. If he was a regular joe, he'd just be an ugly face.

However, there's no denying that he needed some active game, which he learned under the tutelage of Mystery, as he was a virgin until 21 and didn't get laid for years after that.

Remember guys, without active game it doesn't matter how rich or famous you are, you still will not pull. Although the stronger your passive game is, the less active game is needed to pull.

Regardless, weighing out these factors we can safely say the following:

1. Neil's high passive game secured him a hot chick.
2. Neil would have never gotten this chick without his active game training under Mystery, and that this marriage validates game to some extent.

I'm happy for Neil and I hope this marriage works out but I have my doubts. She looks like a major slut who loves attention. At the very least, Neil will be able to have attractive kids.

Also, because Neil is getting married late in life he should keep most of his money in the event of a divorce. Remember, divorces only take what you make during the marriage, not before. If he gets a pre-nup on top of that, the damage can be minimized.

However, he does strike me as a bit of an idealist so he may forgo the pre-nup.

Samseau, everything you wrote makes perfect sense, although it seems he had the same "passive game" credentials before he was getting laid. I would argue that his Rolling Stone/NY Times posts are more impressive to a chick than his "Game" book anyway.

So it seems as though his active game is what changed. And this isn't the first attractive girlfriend he's had that he's introduced to the mainstream media, he was with Courtney Love's guitarist a few years ago who was pretty cute (for being in her 30s) also.

This is now two good looking longterm relationship types that have been shown publicly. Yet we've never seen an attractive girlfriend of TylerDurden or any of these other guru types. I can't stand to listen to their videoblogs for more than 30 seconds, as they all have a combination of an irritating voice and blind arrogance that's frankly nauseating.

But Neil seems different. I've heard a few of his interviews on Howard Stern and with Tim Ferriss, and he seems like a normal, articulate guy. When Stern, in particular, would ask him about silly PUA lingo he'd kind of laugh it off, as opposed to TylerDurden who talks about that shit as if it's science.

Point is, he's probably financially even with these other gurus, yet he's the one who has the good looking girlfriends and appears to be most normal. He also had the largest genetic deficiency to overcome. If marriage is what he wanted, I'm happy for the guy.

I appreciate your positive tone towards Neil, and I think you mean "normal" in a positive way, but I don't know if many people realize what being a NY Times best selling author means.

It means you are absolutely not normal at all.

Maybe, IDK, 1%, or more likely 1/100th of 1%, of self-described writers get major publishing deals, out of that group probably at most 1/10th of 1% ever get on the best seller list. It's probably about as frequent as becoming a full professor at Harvard or becoming the CEO of a Fortune 1000 company.

This is a very extraordinary, one-in-a-million achievement.

He goes into it in his books why he became an author. It was something like "most people aren't 'closers'," meaning they don't finish things. He wasnt to rely on himself, and writing books means there's no excuses, you generally finish it on your own.

I'm not really 'happy' for this guy bc this girl looks like she's not a suitable candidate for marriage and I'm scared this might become a train wreck.

She's early-30s at best (from the photos and all that makeup honestly she could be 35+) and seems to be an attention-seeking type of girl to me. I mean her look screams 'sponsor-seeking, gold-digging high maintenance chick' from my perspective. RE her being a "9" I'd say there are literally millions of girls better than her in Moscow and EE as Menace pointed out.

Furthermore, as Cattle Rustler said, the fact that she's white Mexican also means that she's probably been put on a pedestal for years by her social circle/class and was "Daddy's little princess" and that means trouble. So there are a ton of red flags here. As this is a player's forum that generally looks askance at marriage (for many good reasons) frankly I am a bit suprised that many posters are like "yeah, good for him!" I'm not trying to hate, but as a (slightly ) older member I seroiusly worry for many men in their 30s and 40s who get married to the wrong types of women. It can literally ruin your life.

IMO, if you're seriously considering marriage you should be doing it with a nice sweet, low maintenance girl in her late 20s at the oldest -someone who is still fertile and reasonably young and able to handle them. NOT with some girl who looks like she's a club rat and obviously spends an inordinate amount of time on how she looks (outside eating healthy & the gym) and that's it. I believe that the main goal with marriage is to have kids and raise them together, anything else sort of doesn't make sense to me. i.e. if you're lonely get a dog, improve yourself and build up your # of friends and acquaintences and get out there and do other stuff. I would hope that he's not 'hanging up his cleats' due to a thought process that goes something like "oh no, I'm in my late 30s/40s and now I need to settle down and get married, get serious, etc." which is a recipe for disaster. I hope that's not what was going through his mind but who knows.

Of course I could be wrong, and I realize I don't know him or her and am looking at this from 10,000 feet. She could be a loveable, caring, low-maintenance feminine woman who just wants to settle down and take care of the kids but everything I see about her tells me otherwise - probably more like the 30-something girl who's losing her looks/hitting the wall and now is trying to tie some guy down after years of hooking up with random dudes. I see these kinds of 30-something gold digger sharks day in and day out here so maybe I'm a bit jaded??

There's a ton of hating going on. I'm not saying everyone should think it's a great thing for him, but the sheer amount of negative comments towards the girl and what kind of person they think she is (without any knowledge about her) or towards style's game is just silly.

It makes sense that this guy would be in a serious relationship at his age and with what he wants (he's always been the guy desiring a girlfriend in anything I've ever read of his).

She's also listed as 26 in the few news articles about her. Has anyone found anything to the contrary or do people just like to think they know the girl's age without any evidence.

I think Neil's memorial for his "player" alter ego is fucking funny. I'd love to be there just to see what kind of ridiculousness it consists of.

He is definitely not 39. Crows feet? I'd peg him at 46-ish. He doesn't smoke ( as far as I know ), and doesn't drink ( as far as I know )...smoking and drinking has hit my peers hard...right around the 45 to 55 yrs old mark, the facial skin structure just collapses. People here think 40 is old? It wasn't to me or my peers. We all could get away with being 10 yrs younger. No one I've known has escaped the 45 to 55 yr old window though.

I know he has game. I know a couple of guys who have good game also. ( I don't btw, still learning ). The difference between them and Neil is this; they can seduce a girl for a night, or maybe a few weeks, but....they do not have Neils money and lifestyle to offer. So, the girls end up leaving them. IMO, Neil had the game to seduce her, then the money to keep her, that's the huge difference between him and regular people. Most players I've known, may be able to seduce, but cannot keep a quality girl.

Divorce for sure within five years. ( although, in all honesty, I'd be really happy for him to pull off a ten year *happy* marriage, I'd be pleasantly surprised, I need the cynicism of the red pill world to f-off for a while ). I don't see this happening, and am actually quite surprised that Neil is marrying someone. Why? What for? What does marriage offer specifically? Is he at romantic a heart after all? I'll bet she can't match him intellectually or with experience. This is going to wear on him after a while. He'll get bored, she'll feel it, then the drama will ensue, and finally, divorce. He should not marry this person. If he were marrying another writer, I might think differently. For a guy this smart, this doesn't make sense.
