Wine Tasting / Vendors, restaurant, bar owners
Friend of mine is trying to start a wine tasting company. I'm helping him try to find info about several things but having no luck.

1) As far as I know after calling city hall you need a liquor permit to server/sell indoor. But how is it that major wine tasting events happen with them having no presence or business address in the city?

http://www.bottlenotes.com/
just to name two.

According to city hall there is no way to get a indoor permit unless you are a non for profit or already have a liquor license, even then you are only allowed to server within 100 feet of your establishment.

2) What are typical cuts. (charge for booth? cut from bottle sales?)

Have other questions that I can discuss over PM.
