Why one common 'red pill' attitude is actually the OPPOSITE of red pill
Hey Guys

I want to address a negative attitude I see in our community. It is disingenuous for us to attack other groups such as feminists or mens rights activists without looking inward at ourselves as well. The attitude that I am talking about is this:

Instead of accepting society & culture the way that it is, we complain that we want it to be different. Many aspects of society we view as being opposed to our views and desires.

Let me explain why this is so bad as well as provide specific examples of what I am talking about.

From a biological perspective, the environment always changes. The one force that humans and other species can always count on is change. Maybe it was easier to find and keep quality women back in the day before iphones, Facebook, and feminism. But so what? The environment has changed. Now we must adapt or die (not get laid, the evolutionary equivalent). We face the same challenge that every single one of our ancestors has faced and overcame before us. But instead of accepting this and evolving as quickly as possible, we complain!

Maybe it is not the women that are entitled, maybe it is us. We want more for less. We want to get the girl without adapting to the new environment. It is the women who have taken advantage of new technologies and western attitudes to empower themselves. Why are we not benefitting from these technologies? The thing is, true red pill men are benefitting. A true red pill man uses Facebook and texting to get laid because a red pill man is an expert at adapting to change. It is the beta blue pill who complains about new technologies and changes in society.

What about feminism? Can we benefit from that? Of course! It is an accepted fact that a 'liberated woman' will feel empowered to sleep with a man much sooner than her conservative counterpart. I'm not complaining.

What about unfair workplace environments or divorce laws due to feminism? Well once again, these only affect beta men. Red pill men don't get married, a lifestyle which can now be lived without getting stigmatized. Red pill men don't work for a corporation. It's easier than ever to be self-employed, own a business, or invest. If you work for another man then you have to follow another man's rules. That is the life you have chosen.

What about the rise of narcissism amongst females? Have you never gotten laid by talking up a woman's ego? That and alcohol are probably the two most common approaches!

My point is that we are alive in the best time in history. Whatever type of woman you want is available for your choosing. Wanting to live in the past is weak. I am glad that all these new 'difficulties' have arisen. More men not getting laid means more women available for the alphas.

Women will always want to have sex. Now they can weed out the losers faster than ever. That is the advantage the latest developments in society has given them. This means getting laid is way easier.

Tl;dr I do not think the complaining is healthy. When we complain, we become the very thing we detest in others. Plus there is no reason to complain when we have it better than ever. Every complaint we have expressed about our current society is only a problem for the betas.

You're complaining about people complaining about others complaining. Congratulations.

@polymath What part of that was I complaining?

@Thedude3737 I said "I want to address a negative attitude I see in our community." I did not say "this is my summary of our forum." I do see this as a prevalent attitude, but obviously we talk about much more than our current culture alone. That's not what I am saying at all.

I keep it real. I share the good and bad. To try to shame discussion of the bad is like a bunch of women getting together for a dinner party and sharing fake compliments they don't mean. http://www.theonion.com/articles/female-...the,27446/

Life ain't all positive. Some things really DO suck. Even the best city in the world has some negative features. It'd be dishonest not to share them just for the sake of "being positive."

True red pill men stay off social media

It's obvious that marriage sucks, but what about men who want to have children and stay in their home country? There is no solution for that, unless you adopt and raise by yourself. Would you want your kids to be without a mother?

And not working for a corporation is fine and dandy except for the fact that the Federal and State governments are crushing private businesses with thousands of pointless regulations via programs like Obamacare or special trade regulations.

Fewer than 10% of men have their own business today, compared to over 40% fifty years ago.

Yeah I realized that after reading it again, hence the edit.

It's only through the quality of guys that the RVF attracts that this place DOESN'T turn into an MRA-fest of guys bitching about the state of affairs. You'll see more than enough threads chock-full of positive, life-affirming lifestyles and healthy habits, so I suggest you stick to those and avoid the threads where we sit around and talk shit. Noone's forcing you to read it, and there is PLENTY to talk shit about. If that's not your thing, ignore it.

RE: Why one common 'red pill' attitude is actually the OPPOSITE of red pill
@Samseau I'm not saying there are no negatives about society. I am saying that it is an advantage to adapt and benefit from the 'negatives'. Maybe you personally stay off social media, but I have gotten laid from social media so I will keep using it. That's not bragging, that's the norm for plenty of guys.

You are right that men who want to get married and have children are at a disadvantage. People who would rather sleep around have a much greater advantage than people who want to stay married in a monogamous relationship. Being able to update your desires to put yourself at the best advantage is one form of evolving. Besides, being able to sleep with more than one woman is abundance. I would rather be the guy that sleeps with the married woman then the guy that is married to her and doesn't sleep with her.

@thedude3737 I wanted to share my philosophy that things which may seem bad for us on the surface can actually be used to our advantage. Plus when I see a self-proclaimed 'alpha' complain about something, it makes me lose a little respect. Complaining keeps us from growing.

For example, initially I hated it when women lied to me. More women lying sounds like a bad thing. But now, I lie to women and when a woman lies to me, I can usually tell, and I use that to further game her. So lying has become something that I use to my advantage even though initially it seemed like a bad thing.

What about the rise of obesity amongst females? Have you never gotten laid by feeding a woman? That and alcohol are probably the two most common approaches!

Our 'problem' is that we have a real, affirmative view of how men and women should be, and it's greatly at odds with how men and women nowadays actually behave. OP is saying to bend over and tell yourself you like it.

No thanks. You can learn to numb yourself to the pain, move, or give up. But changing your principles is the ultimate cop-out.

I don't get it. (Or maybe I do?)

Why do guys with low rep points who haven't built rapport with anyone or tried to help out start these threads telling us all how pathetic we are?

Imagine walking into a bar where there are a bunch of guy drinking and bullshitting and then saying, "You're all delusional pussies!"

Why not sit down, shut up, help out where possible and avoid posting controversial stuff until people realizes it comes from a "good" place rather than a troll face?

@bailsransom you got me on that one! Obesity is no advantage for us. Or anybody. You are absolutely right. I think many issues though can be turned around and used as an advantage. To be fair there are some instances where I wish things were different. Obesity is an example, a woman bitching uncontrollably is an example, a club filled with mostly dudes is an example. But the other common challenges like narcisim, deceit, and feminism, can be used to our advantage by evolving & adapting.

I understand you are saying that there is a way men and women should actually behave. But when women and men don't behave this way should we complain or should we use it to our advantage? I'm not saying that you should bend over and take it quietly, I am saying that most situations can be overcome.

@MikeCF I'm not calling anyone pathetic. In what way have I said that? I am suggesting that we can grow from the new environment that we find ourselves in in 2013. I have no malicious intent. If I haven't built up a reputation, how else will I do that if not bringing new ideas to the table or sharing opinions on how we can grow? My only goal is to be constructive. That is why I put so much thought and time into my initial post.

@RooshV When I posted my idea about using common challenges to our advantage I knew that it would be contrary to some popular ideas here. I hope I will not be banned, I read forum posts here and RoK every day and I love it. Part of group psychology is sharing a common enemy, in our case, feminists. I just think that it is possible to stay one step ahead of feminists and even use feminism to our advantage. I would never have thought this way if it wasn't for reading here so much.

You really haven't read much because we've talked about how to exploit things to our advantage at least 100 times. Roosh's main blog especially talks about taking advantage of the slut paradise we live in.

Nothing you've written is original. You aren't making any good points, and much of your advice is bad.

This is a Game Forum with an Everything Else section.

How about dropping some game posts rather than spouting pseudo-intellectual nonsense that everyone thinks is trolling?

If it were up to me (it's not), guys wouldn't even be allowed to post in Everything Else until they had 10 rep points for positing in the Game subforum. It'd weed out the theory trolls who don't even meet women in real life and just blab about nonsense.

Do you have the social intelligence to realize that when everyone thinks it's trolling, you should just drop it?

See, I can tell you don't approach women in real life because you don't know when to abandon a bad line of talk.

Here's my game tip: If you're talking and shit ain't going right, stop talking or change the subject.

I agree with the OP's philosophy - sausagefests are just a challenge we need to overcome.

Let us rise to the occasion and start fucking men.

Then sausagefests will be something we welcome.

On a more serious note, I wholeheartedly agree with MikeCF. I have no idea why guys with no reputation or credibility think they can waltz in here and attempt to lecture and talk down to the rest of the forum, especially in cases like this where they aren't even saying anything remotely original or interesting. This guy had been registered for an entire year and had 45 posts and 0 rep, and yet makes a post like this which, even if it was not a deliberate troll, was just dumb, and added nothing to the forum (Like it's never occurred to anyone before that feminists are more slutty than traditional women? Did you really think you were breaking new ground with that thought?).

I would love to see more new blood contributing some wisdom to the forum, but guys who haven't built up any credibility have to understand that there is very little tolerance for bullshit here, and coming out swinging right out of the gate like this is not going to do you any favors, especially when your post isn't even good to begin with. If you want to be taken seriously when you put forward a controversial or countervailing argument, it would help if you've already demonstrated a strong understanding of manosphere orthodoxy and game fundamentals. Otherwise you're just talking out of your ass and are indistinguishable from a troll, even if your intentions are pure.

This kind of strict moderation has earned the forum many haters, but is the only thing that preserves its integrity and insulates it against the pernicious influence of wannabes, posers, stealth trolls and plain old garbage posters.

Is it me or was that not a woman trolling?

The writing was so unoriginal and uninspiring. The troll was suggesting there were good points to feminism!

Either that or a castrated male.

However I do have to say that I have noted a subtle change in troll tactics recently.

We're witnessing a new phenomenon known as Machine Gun Preacher Troll. I.e. they go in all guns blazing (e.g. Mack Four), telling us we're all a bunch of heathens and saying we need to look inwardly at ourselves.

They tend to lie dormant for months on end and wait for the perfect moment to pounce. They lull us into a false sense of security, masquerading as genuine memebers. They may even get a rep point or two.

But in the end all trolls show their true nature.

It reminds me of this scene in Gladiator.

There needs to be some kind of hazing ritual for new members. Preferably something humiliating. While I won't claim to speak for Roosh or the senior members, it really annoys me when I see these cocksure nobodies come swinging out of the gate with their Grand Unified Theory of What RVF is Doing Wrong.

I blame modern education and democracy. Everyone's told nowadays that they're shpecial and their opinions count, no matter how retarded or ill-informed they happen to be. Hence we have these anonymous chodes with no rep or rapport strutting in here to arrogantly lecture guys who've been posting here for years that their way of doing things is oh-so-much-better.

By hazing the new members, we'll teach them a little humility and respect for their superiors. Either you beat them on the way in, or they'll beat you on their way out.

By hazing the new members, we'll teach them a little humility and respect for their superiors. Either you beat them on the way in, or they'll beat you on their way out.

Just make sure MikeCF isn't the Pledge Master. He would make us guys with no rep points do some fucked up shit.

How is that going to be implemented electronically?
