I am Swiss -lived in the same city where they installed this. Typical example of bureaucrats trying to regulate sex work. Doubtful if it will work.

I'm thinking that this is more of a government kickback to a local contractor. It's not unheard of for a small company to help out a politician and then get something back later. Those could all be built for perhaps $50,000 at most. I speculate that this was just an excuse for paying off a friend for a political favor.

They not only built the sex boxes but also the streets - essentially they built an outdoor brothel on the outskirts of the city. Including barracks for social workers who will be staying on the premises and taking care of the hookers - crazy I know .. only in Switzerland ..
