A woman who appeared on TV claiming that no one would give her a job because she was too fat was caught shoplifting cakes just hours later, it emerged today.
Jay Cole was interviewed on ITV's This Morning last month, complaining that employers discriminated against her because she is 22st.
But later that same day, she was caught stealing baked goods, champagne and deodorant from her local branch of Sainsbury's.
Police apparently recognised her on CCTV footage after watching her TV appearance earlier in the day.

Cole, 24, told presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that she had never had a full-time job because of her size.

Despite claiming she is regularly applying for jobs, Cole has only attended 12 interviews in five years, but insists she is keen to get off benefits. She has been given a two-bedroom council flat and has her council tax paid, claiming a total of £227 a week in benefits.

I can help with that.

The reason is that there is a theory in place that argues that all must be given the benefit of the doubt in all cases.

As a result, the government writes a blank check for everyone who meets very basic requirements and completes very simple paperwork.

Also, it is commonly argued that the cost of investigating individual cheaters would cost mooooooore money than just continuing their minimal monthly payments.

I say, work camps.

Im on my phone so this may take more than 1 post due to character limits but there are a few things I want to point out based on this article. I apologize in advance if the posts don't string together. For starters, obese people seeking employment will almost always be somewhat discriminated against by potential employers for many reasons. The first & biggest reason is simply because of their large size & appearance. No employer really wants potential clients to walk into the company & pass negative judgement based on first impressions. This applies even more so to a place that deals with customers directly in person. Another reason is because fat people are more likely to have more medical issues & as a result call out more often which of couse is a liability to the business. Now I'll give credit where it's due because I have seen some hard working fat asses in my short time on this earth who are the exception to the above.

To keep the government in power, simple as that.

On the surface it's illogical, but it makes perfect sense if you think about it from a political point of view.

These people just get drip fed from the government and eventually rely on them completely.

People are now wising up though and are sick of these leeches.

On another note though I wonder what cakes she stole?

Perhaps she's partial to a Mississippi Mud Pie, Chocolate Gateau?

(cont. from my last post) Now for Jay Cole. It doesn't take a genius to figure out she's a lazy deadbeat full of excuses who is simply taking advantage of the system. Look at what she's been provided: a 2 room flat, paid tax, clothing vouchers for job interviews, free prescriptions, & 227 euros a week which in a month totals to 908 euros of play money. I work full time, pay rent, bills, taxes, along with menial expenses. At the end of the month this bitch has more play money than I do without having done anything, so her lying ass can fuck off about trying to find a job. There is simply no incentive for her. On top of that she's a thief but she got cocky & that's what fucked her over. She had the balls to try & gain sympathy from a national audience & on the same day commit theft. No employer wants to hire a thief but I wouldn't be surprised if the government is still giving her benefits. Meanwhile there are honest people struggling to make ends meet & the government turns their backs on them.

Most large corps do each part of HR digitally. The City of Toronto for example, all hiring is all digital. You fit the skills, your hired - so fat people can't use that excuse anymore.

They are fat for a reason, they lack displine and are lazy.

I'm with Western Cancer here, seriously, can one of you UK guys break down this whole 'council estates' thing. It sounds insane, you get paid to have free housing?. I'm familiar with US welfare systems and Canadian ones. A new thread may be required.
