I know they look somewhat rediculous, but I kind of like getting a lot of stuff documented, like when I travel. Video of the cities, restaurants, etc. Looking for discreet solutions...

I know there's Go Pro...but not exactly wearable. there's a chest strap. http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/chest-mount-harness



There's the Looxie 2 which is like a big bluetooth...probably the most descreet but it only shooots in crappy 480p video or whatever.







The last one I was looking at is kind of a hybrid....its the Panasonic A100. Its quite large though...but takes HD quality video.



anyone experienced in these kind of things or used a good solution before?

Use a go pro plenty mostly mounted on helmets. Mounts on my sailboat and motorcycle. 99.9999999999999999999% of footage shot is garbage. I don't see wearing one around the city, basically if you aren't doing something that requires a helmet it will be boring as shit video. If you are trying to film approaches either use the camera as a prop or get a real camera/tripod and have a buddy film from a distance using remote mic. Better off starting with one of the super cheap keychain cameras see if you like the content you get then worry about quality.

more kind of want to do that effect of walking through a city and then playing it in fast motion. stuff like that...walking through markets, in the car, etc. or in a church in Italy or something like that...something that is more memorable that I can splice together later on. I've done it just holding my digital camera in my hand, and I tend not to like to record more than 20 seconds doing that.

Badass mall cop wears a digital camera strapped to his stab proof vest. Could be a shout to wear one if you work security or on the doors, also I often wonder why every cop doesn't have to wear one of these.

this is the kind of inspiration. lots of work and obviously not as well put together, but if you can do it non-intrusive it might be pretty awesome.

they used 2 go pros here and some Canon dSLR I guess.

I use a Contour2 to record my stuff. It is awesome for anything action oriented.

I've used it only for my job so far. I have plans to use it snowboarding, dirtbiking, riding my motorcycle, and maybe even diving in the near future.

Combine it with a video editing program and you can make some amazing videos of you doing cool shit.

the thing with the contour is it seems a little heavy to wear on your body without a helmet. Im talking about being in a museum or on the street hanging out. the glasses may work though....I have a big head though.
