Mod of the site closed posting because of critics but I was just reading some stuff like:

It's been my habit to not have physical contact with both H or MM within the same 24 hour period. I do this more because the idea of sleeping with either of them on the same day gives me bad vibes but also because it lessens the issues with residual left overs.
Beyond that I like body sprays …. I carry the one I've uses for years in my car just in case.

definitely won't have sex with om within 24hrs of being with H. We both made that promise to each other. As for H, I try to avoid, but if I absolutely can't get out of it, I won't let him give me oral. I'll just make up some excuse. I prefer not to have sex with both H and OM in the same day…but unfortunately…things happen.
1st time: about two months into affair, I had meet OM and spent about 4 hours together. That evening H arrived home and was allow over me. I was terrified…and pacified him with a BJ and telling him I thought I had a "yeast infection".
2nd time: about three weeks later and I was planning to meet OM that afternoon. Birth control is your responsibility. I've only had one child and I planned her. Gotta be smart with the dick, fellas.

As far as the next best thing, you gotta believe you are the next best thing. And if she doesn't, then guess what? There are at least 10 other chicks in town that look just like her and at least 5 of them are nicer or better in bed. At least two are both.

I believe there's a study out there that found the more sexual partners a woman has had the more marriage, the more likely the marriage will fail.

I could never tolerate an open marriage, were I to get married of course to begin with. The vast majority of women are incapable of respecting a man who they cheat on, or as in this scenario, a man who allows them to openly sleep with other guys.

This is the premise that I'm just not sure about. A woman who likes sex, likes sex. That doesn't mean she's looking to trade in her husband. Many solid marriages survive infidelity.

As for respect, that's another question. The second a woman doesn't respect you, and it shows, you fire her ass. Period. But I don't agree with the premise that just because she went on a business trip and fell into bed with some dude she'll never see again (this is how wives generally do it, and why they're caught less often than husbands) doesn't mean she doesn't respect you. It may not be about you at all, it may just be for her.

Why would you let your wife keep your genitals in jar?

Men and women bring different things to the table in a marriage. Women usually expect resources/stability, men want chastity(to guarantee the kids are theirs).

If I had a wife and she cheated I divorce her ass ASAP. No chastity=no trust=no resources. She'd get nothing in the settlement as all my assets will be held in irrevocable living trusts.

You think you can have it both ways, but you really can't. It's alot harder to get a woman to accept your infidelities, while remaining completely chaste herself. It's sounds like a great plan, but even if you hold the financial purse strings it's much more difficult to implement than you think.

The reality is that there are differences between male and female sexuality. There are also differences between what their expectations in a married relationship.

I'm not advocating that men cheat on their wives either. However, it's just not comparable.

Respectfully disagree. Having seen the huge fights my parents had when my she caught him creeping with a co-worker I know it isn't impossible. She found text messages and his condom stash (apparently they don't fuck anymore so she knew).

And I can and will have it both ways: I want a son/family someday but I also want mistress too. I'll have homebody wife, the son in an all-boys boarding school, and I'll take "business" trips to Brazil and Thailand quarterly. I won't settle for less.

I'm speaking from experience, my good man. Six years of marriage and a great many observations of adjacent marriages have taught me alot.

I think people get way to caught up in the morality and philosophy part rather than focusing on what works. I am a hardcore pragmatist. Not to start a political tangent, but Obamacare. Great idea from an ethical standpoint, but almost completely unworkable from a functionality standpoint.

It's great to have principles, and I applaud you for them. But you've got to be more realistic about what women actually are. They are reactionary, unreasonable and unstable under heavy emotional stress. She may hang on for awhile, but eventually she's going to talk to her friends about it and they're going to pour poison into her ear.

And again, who the hell wants all that stress of wondering. If you enjoy her company enough to marry her simply decide that you don't care and enjoy the time you spend together. In the end, isn't it about being happy?

Two things.

1. I'm not saying that having your cake and eating it too is impossible. I'm saying it's an exceptionally difficult trick to pull. On par with jumping the Grand Canyon on a motorcycle (RIP Mr Knievel).

2. You cannot know if your mother retaliated by cheating on your father. There is simply no way to know that for sure without a time machine, and that's the problem. I'd just as soon refuse to care as get caught in the suspicion trap.

A man can love a woman and bang other girls on the side. His "heart" is still with girl #1. This is of course not always the case, but it is eminently doable, especially by a man who understands the sexual dynamics of relationships. Once a girl decides to cheat on you, you are dead to her. Her "heart" is no longer with you. She can certainly make a good show of it, but inside it's over. This is how divorces often start.

Marriage is a challenge partly because it's inherent nature is both a bug and a feature: it is designed to promote stability, yet women actually crave (and need) a certain amount of instability. A roller coaster of emotions. They can't deal with calmness. They get bored easily. Maybe when they're post-menopausal they start to become more rational and less addicted to drama.

Now, if that's what you guys want to do then more power to you. I'm all for everyone finding their happy place. And for the record I'm not rooting against anyone either. I'm just trying to bring some perspective to bear about what marriage is really like.

Like Menace and others have said, men can love a woman and still sleep around with countless others, it won't make him respect her any more or less, but a woman who sleeps around with other men doesn't love and respect you.
