Here's a fun basement dweller experiment. Click on "member list" at the top of the rvf homepage. Cross reference the first page of top posters with the "members met" thread. Then do the math for post count.

Wow, so this place really is turning into "who knows more people" kind of party. Interesting. Guess I better make sure I go out of my way to meet some folks next time on my way through Bangkok before I get left out of the cool guy's club.

Gotcha. I was partly just talking shit because it was Ali and, well, that's just more fun. There are definitely holes to that way of viewing each other though - even if I do understand the sentiment especially when it comes to big game talk.

I'm actually looking forward to meeting more members this year now that I've gotten more active on the forum. I'm sure it'll make for some trollish times.

Don't know that I'll ever hold it against those who choose not to though.

So you guys are going to make a graph to try and debunk the gmanifesto for the 70th time?

All his tips work: suits, squares, smoking etc.

I guess entertainment trolling a new value add on RVF.

Your best bet still, IMHO is finding hate forums. People that are angry generally have nothing positive in their lives - eg likely basement dwellers

I'd be down to meet up with some forum members.

The best way to learn game is with other guys. Reading helps fill in the blanks, but mirroring the attitude of a good dude with decent game takes being in the present to work it out.

I would definitely visit a large city for that adventure.

I know a basement dweller actually. Abe doesn't work, doesn't even collect welfare or disability. He could though, is probably obese enough for it unfortunately. Abe lives with his friend Bob. Bob had a crazy druggie girlfriend who dumped Bob's baby on him and then ran away. Abe helps out with childcare for Bob's kid.

If Bob every gets a serious girlfriend - Abe is toast, and I don't think either of them realize that.
