Recently, there have been many scandals in China about government officials and their mistresses. Some of them had their own harems of mistresses, like 10+ due to their wealth/corruption.

So what makes them beta?

According to the Washington Post, Liu Tienan, a party official in Beijing gave his mistress $1,000 USD the first time they met....every day. Not Only this, but check this out:

Bo Xilai paid $1 Million dollars for movie star Zhang Ziyi to have sex with him...he paid 10 times. The guy had 175 mistresses.

There's nothing wrong with having money. However, I would never take a girl shopping on my own dime, much less pay them.

Just imagine how many trips you can afford with that much cash.
Just to give you an idea, Bo Xilai was worth from 700m-2B.

Most of this money comes from embezzlement.
