Did you read that properly? In 2009 women were pretty much equal with us in the amount of jobs held, now, men hold 1.7 million more jobs; I'm guessing employers are realizing the truth: men are better employees.

I think this will have an impact on hypergamy. If more men are unemployed/underemployed while jobs for women have recovered, in the minds of women, a larger percentage of men will be considered unfit for consideration.
