When I think of the words "sex tourism" I think of old pay for play guys in flip flops and Hawaiian shirts. Not my fellow Rooshers

I live really close to Tijuana, MX so if I wanted P4P, I'd save thousands not flying to Colombia. I am not a sex tourist but I won't pass up on a chance at a pretty girl. This is my 6th or 7th countrythat I have traveled this year, I like to travel and I work when I travel. I have a friends from there and am working on my Spanish. What better way to practice your Spanish then to have a Spanish girlfriend or two or three.

Yes I can work on my Spanish in Mexico but I like to travel and I'm not too fond of the lack of eyebrows on some of these women down here.

Nothing wrong with that, if that is your thing and there may be some of those guys (young and older) in the forum as well. I usually think of those as whore mongers and not in a disparaging way, but I see your point.

Just so I'm clear, if you go overseas and engage in p4p you are a "sex tourist" because you are paying directly for sex, but if you go overseas to have sex and don't pay the girl directly for sex then you are not a sex tourist, lol.

If a guy travels to say Colombia to have sex with women by not paying her directly (dinners, partying, etc) but doesn't get lucky for whatever reason (it could happen), is he still a sex tourist? If a tree falls in the woods....

Obviously, not a very good one. I guess a guy that goes to Costa Rica for a hair transplant but winds up not getting it done, didn't do a good job at medical tourism either, lol.

I don't think Medellin is that difficult. It's just not a pickup culture and pickup is the main channel for most guys on this forum.

Sure, it's overhyped, most guys just bang bello girls and they are the easiest one ever (perhaps all over latin america). But yeah, Poblado girls are tough.

For me the best channels were Gym, gay guys, and random mid-class guys who present me girls. Actually even a taxi driver asked me once out and presented me his hot cousin. The guys really don't fear to give too much.

But well, in the beginning I really thought I should make friends with girls who will present me other girls after... was I stupid...

Quick question: After 12 months in Medellin I still didn't find any good daygame spot for cold-approaching Poblado girls. I really miss hunting, anybody can help?

I'm in MDE now. Without being introduced by a friend of the Poblado (estrato 5-6) girl you will face an uphill battle. If you can find someone in common that you both know then the poblado girl will treat you much better.

For those who are wondering why they can't crack a social circle there, remember that very few people in Colombia can communicate well in English. Somebody who brings along a 'gringo' that can't mutter anything beyond "Hola", "Si", "No" and "Quiero" is actually seen as untasteful and mood-ruiner. And we all know how Colombians are about their image to other people.

So please, learn a decent amount of Spanish and don't look obnoxiously gringo. That's a bit more than half the fight.
