I never said it was illegal to ask a question. You are also presenting a very sanitized version of what happened. If a gang member was following you in the car at night, and then got out the car and started approaching you on foot and then said, "where you from?" In L.A. anyway, that means you are probably about to either get your ass beat or get shot. It's not "just a question", context is everything.

Quote:Also, that photo is after he was cleaned up. Look at a photo before all the blood was cleaned up.

I'm not seeing any gashes that would indicate a life-threatening ass -whooping.

Quote:Also, on this back, Zimmerman's gun would have been visible since his shirt came up.

Zimmerman claims that Trayvon saw the gun and went for it. In that case, he had to shoot Trayvon. Justifiable homicide.

...so he says. Unfortunately he killed the only other witness to the incident. Forensic analysis shows no evidence that Martin touched his gun: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/19...97356.html

If Trayvon would have gotten a hold of the gun, Zimmerman would be the one dead. Zimmerman says Trayvon went for the gun, so he pulled it out of the holster and fired.

Again, pretty clear case of self-defense.

Zimmerman's team has presented no evidence of this. Given that they were grappling, if Martin saw the gun and went for it, it's very likely that he would've been at least a fingerprint.

Quote:In fact, the cops that showed up at the scene agreed that it was self-defense and it was only the political outrage that there is even a trial.

How could cops that just showed up come to such a conclusion? Did they review all the transcripts and witness testimony? Did they conduct forensic tests on the spot and draw that conclusion? No. And it wasn't their job to jump to hasty conclusions. But cops aren't known to be the smartest people in law enforcement. The smart ones become investigators.

There was DNA evidence on the holster from someone other than Zimmerman but it couldn't be identified. In real life (unlike CSI), DNA evidence isn't always going to be a useful sample, especially since it was raining that night.

The cops cleared Zimmerman and it is due to the political outrage that there is even a trial.

Zimmerman should be found not guilty on all charges.

RE: Zimmerman case
I find all these attempts to demonize Trayvon Martin to be quite funny. So there are some pictures of him fronting like he was hard. That's what teenage boys do. Fuck, half the white chicks I know have pictures of themselves somewhere on the internet flashing "ironic" gang signs. Are they dangerous gangsters?

On the night he was killed, there's no evidence that Martin was doing anything wrong. If that is the case then Zimmerman instigated the entire confrontation. Talking about how Zimmerman is being persecuted for political reasons is just nonsense. Go back to the beginning. This didn't start with people screaming for Zimmerman's head. This started because the police just showed up, took Zimmerman's word and were about to let him off scot free.

Doesn't sound like the prosecution has the case to prove second degree murder, but he certainly should have been charged with something, probably manslaughter. If you start a fight with someone, they start licking your ass, you get in a good shot and they fall to the ground and split their head open, are the cops just going to send you home?

If anything, being charged with second degree murder is looking like good luck for Zimmerman.

wtf is wrong with you people? even is Zimmerman walked up to him and said, "hey, i dont recognize you, why are you here?" what right does that give Martin to punch him in the face? If that little gangter wanna be would have said "trying to go home to my dad's house, i'm lost" Zimmerman would have probably done everything he could to help him. But god forbid the little racist punk get axed a question by a 'creepy ass cracker'

Once again, we don't know what verbal exchange happened between Zimmerman and Martin because Martin isn't here to give his side of the story. Anyone would have to be a fool to take Zimmerman's account as face value. Of course he's going to make himself look as innocuous as possible. The thing is, we don't know what went down between the verbal confrontation and the physical escalation. All we have is hearsay and some cuts and scratches and a gunshot. For all we know he could've started talking mad shit to Martin. We already know he thought Martin was "an asshole", "up to no good" and "on drugs". I doubt Zimmerman's tone was anything but bellicose.

He actually was on drugs, the toxicology tests proved that. He was also buying skittles and watermelon flavored arizona, used to make 'lean.' he was in Orlando because his Mom kicked him out of the house. He had a record at school because he was caught with stolen merchandise and burgulary tools. Just a harmless, innocent sweet little boy. Right.

Is manslaughter a lesser-included offense of murder in Florida? That is, does the judge give the jury the option of convicting Zimmerman of manslaughter automatically?

This is not a murder case - and probably not enough to convict Zimmerman of manslaughter, because they have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt he wasn't acting in self-defense.

That said, I'm glad he's spent months in jail - he's an asshole wannabe cop and meddler.

Manslaughter is a lesser case but if he gets manslaughter he is still really screwed - because it involves a minor its 20 years I believe

This is exactly how I feel about the whole thing - two very unlikable characters... A fat rent-a-cop look-a-like shot a ganster wanna-be who felt disrespected and attacked the wrong guy. The DA should have charged Zimmerman with manslaughter. Murder 2 isn't going to stick...

Now can we get back to talking about lifting, doing approaches, or the Siberian summer vacation??

Oh, he smoked some marijuana? Like the majority of kids that age. I guess he had reefer madness walking down that street, right?

And you don't make "lean" with iced tea and skittles, lol. Are you making this shit up??

And whether Martin was an asshole or not(and I think he was) is irrelevant before the law. Martin's character isn't on trial. Zimmerman is on trial for using deadly force in a situation where it wasn't necessary.

Now if you don't care because you think he's just another young black thug that won't be any more trouble if he's dead you are certainly entitled to that personal belief, but that is not what this trial is about.

The toxicology report showed trace amounts of THC. So yeah, he smoked some weed at some point in the month before he was shot. He must have been a gangster.

I found some footage from dinner at BMan's house.

Of course, we're not on the jury and I'm sure we're not getting all the info, and I'm certainly not here to defend Zimmerman. However, to say that calling Trevyon a thug is ridiculous is itself ridiculous.

Are you one of those sheltered upper middle class folk who have never been in a street fight? Refereed fights among average teenage boys can be found from Barcelona, Spain to Anytown, Tennessee bro.

Also, if we're going to assassinate some random punk black kid's character for being a "thug" on Fuckerberg's Betabook then what do we do with a man who legitimately attacked a cop (i.e. Zimmerman)?

If we're going to determine whether Zimmerman or Martin is in the right based on previous criminal records and conduct, then Zimmerman is in for a world of hurt bro.

This is the highwater mark that needs to be reached--the proving beyond reasonable doubt that second-degree murder occurred. If this mark can't be reached, Zimmerman should walk.

It is likely that none of us would have heard of this case had the media not mistaken Zimmerman for a white gentile in their initial excitement.

Maybe Zimmerman should hit up Lima after this blows over. Leverage that fame + (somewhat) light-skinned latino game.

Those are violations of the rights of the community members, and of the guy he attacked.

That's just criminality, if that's the true story. I don't think you mean liberal, I think you just mean stupid!

Are you serious or just trolling? You never smoked weed as a teenager? He was on "drugs?" You're making it sound like he was on meth, it's just weed. He was buying skittles & arizona to make lean? Are you kidding me? How out of touch with reality are you?

At the end of the day, Zimmerman couldn't mind his own business. I get that he was a neighborhood watch whatever the fuck. But he called the cops on Trayvon because he was a black kid with his hoodie up in a nice neighborhood. He then followed him around (when the dispatcher told him not to) and obviously said something to instigate the exchange. What he said, we'll never know, but I damn sure wouldn't take Zimmerman's word. Yeah they got into a fight, if I was Trayvon I'd be pissed too, he had every right to walk in that neighborhood. Why should someone ask him where he's going? Because he looked "sketchy?" Why did he look sketchy? Because he was a black teenager with a hoodie on? Why did Zimmerman leave his vehicle and take his gun with him? Because Trayvon looked that dangerous? What made Trayvon look dangerous? Because he was a black teenager with a hoodie on?

Why couldn't Zimmerman let the cops handle it? He had to take matters into his own hands? Cause this kid was clearly such a danger to everyone in that little neighborhood?

That and using unnecessary force on an UNARMED 17 year old is what this case is about.

Martin was temporarily staying in the community. On the day Martin was fatally shot, he and his father were visiting his father's fiancée and her son at her townhome in The Retreat at Twin Lakes in Sanford, a multi-ethnic gated community, where the shooting occurred. Martin had visited his father's fiancée at Twin Lakes several times. So guys, if you want to dig for some kind of justification for Martin being shot, it wasn't because he had jumped the wall into the community.

When I was a kid we used to play games in the neighborhood where we'd run through backyards chasing each other around. Neighbors would always come out pissed at us and ask us who we were and what we were doing. Did we attack them? Of course not, we are civilized human beings. We talked to them in such a manner and we went along our merry way.

Right, running through backyards in your neighborhood chasing each other and having neighbors come out and ask who you are is the same thing as walking home from a convenience store with a bag of skittles & an iced tea.

Ok.

If I was walking home not bothering anyone and some random guy starts following me and then asking me all kinds of questions, I'm absolutely going to get defensive. I'm not saying I would attack them, but I would definitely tell them to fuck off and mind their own business.

Also, why did Zimmerman call him an asshole when he was on the line with the dispatcher? Zimmerman also assumed that Trayvon had a gun because he had his hands in his pockets. Why did Zimmerman say "these assholes always get away." Who are these assholes? Zimmerman instigated the whole fucking the thing. If he had just done what the dispatcher said, let the cops handle it, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But no, he had to go and pretend he was cop.

Oh and since you were there and saw Zimmerman getting the living hell beat out of him you should really be down there testifying not arguing on an internet forum.
