Which is better in September?
Been busting my ass for the past year and a half to make money, and I'm finally in a place where I'm ready to start living the "location independent" lifestyle. I'm 25 and want to travel while I'm young, single, and able to do so. In September I'll start doing some serious traveling. At the end of September I'll be going to Ibiza for a business meeting (and to also go clubbing and listen to some good trance DJ's). Before I go to España I want to check out some other parts of Europe. Right now I'm thinking either Scandinavia (mainly Sweden and Finland), or somewhere in Eastern Europe (likely Ukraine or Poland).

Scandinavia seems awesome because of the women and the music (the best music comes from Sweden and Finland). EE seems cool only because of the women. This time around I'm not going to be a poor backpacker, so I'll be throwing down money on centrally located apartments and hotels. I must have good/reliable internet wherever I am.

In December I'll likely be going to Colombia and other parts of LATAM, so the main debate now is where to go in Europe. I'll start doing my own research and looking for the good threads on the topic, but I figured I'd start a new thread anyway.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. When I start these trips I'll start dropping a good amount of data to give back to the forum.

Weather wise you will be hitting up Europe at a perfect time.

I think you should go to Scandinavia because you sound like you are more interested in it.

Going somewhere solely for woman can be a recipe for disaster.

I feel you. I just came back from Iceland a month ago and I was seriously impressed with the talent. I've been itching to go to Sweden and Finland for a while. Only thing is that it's damn expensive.. though realistically I'd probably be spending the same, or only slightly more than I'm paying to live in Manhattan now. Will just have to grind harder in the meantime to pay for the additional costs. Will do some more research on this.

Autumn in Europe is great. Spring in Scandinavia is amazing.

I spent an autumn in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro. I was blown away by the beauty of the place.

It was a bit quiet in the resort areas of Croatia and Montenegro, but the weather was still killer.

Lots of people are outside still, the evenings cool off nicely which I like.

Agreed. Though, the nice thing about Europe is that I find the women everywhere to be attractive.

September is the best month in EE/FSU. Girls just come back all suntanned and horny from vacations and don't want to give up.

RE: Which is better in September?
From now on I'll only be updating this thread with developments of my trip (for anybody who cares).

I just booked a 1 way flight to Stockholm through Air Berlin, leaving from JFK - Berlin - Stockholm. Cost a total of $24 after fees. It's nice to have a shit load of AMEX points saved up... I'll be arriving dolo in Sweden on August 14th (I decided to give myself some extra time in Scandinavia before it gets cold).

Next step is to find a centrally located apartment for a reasonable price. I hear that Stureplan and Soldermalm are the places to stay. I'm not into the bottle service type of scene, so I'm going to look into places in Soldermalm. It would be nice to find a place that I can rent on a weekly basis (as opposed to monthly), just in case I'm not enjoying myself in the city, so I can leave without much hassle.

I also have to figure out how to pack for this trip. I'm going to pack pretty light. I'm only bringing 1 backpack (not one of those hiking backpacks that backpackers use, but not some fancy bag either). When I was in Iceland I made the mistake of not bringing nice enough clothing.. It seems like Swedish people care way more about fashion/looks, so I want to bring some nice clothes. After Scandinavia (at the end of September) I'm supposed to be meeting up with my friend, and we'll probably be moving around a lot, so I don't want to bring too much. Gotta figure out what types of shoes to bring to Europe- shoes which are good for walking around a lot during the day, and sufficient/stylish enough for going to to clubs at night.
