Hi all, first time here & have a question.

I've been in a long distance relationship (I note some of you would stop me right here but...) for 9 months. We fly to visit about once a month, but after a 2 month holdup she calls me last week to tell me she's met a guy and she is going to sleep with him but she wants to keep an open relationship with me.

Part of me is good with this as it works both ways, and I'm into her enough to see if it works. The rest of me would rather I mess around and she did not, or neither of us even, but... any of you guys have advice on how to get over the jealousy thing? I'm not there and it is not like she's cheating so much as just being practical, but it still bothers the hell out of me.

She's going to fuck other guys no question, what you have to ask yourself is are you okay with that? Also do you want to continue to see her just for the sex, or do you still want a real "relationship"? I'd say keeping hitting it till you find something better.

Lumiere, I sort of meant that tongue in cheek... something about the psychology of it, I think I could sleep with other women and it wouldn't change how I felt about her but this doesn't alleviate the jealousy at all when it comes to her doing the same. I realize it is unreasonable, but that's why I'm asking. Seems like a hard-wired response to me. If it helps, I did tell her I was fine with her going out with other women, but couldn't sway her that way.

NorCal... I don't know yet, but those are the right questions I think...thanks.

ps- lilactag....what can I say, I guess once you've figured how to get laid you move on to other aspects. Must be the 'how to' stuff is working for some...
