My older brother lives abroad (UK) and recently came home for a family visit.
I haven't seen him in about 2 years and he had his girlfriend with him. They are together for 3 years now and apparently, are in a serious relationship.
I'm happy for him, BUT his gf is a stereotypical short, fat English girl. I was completely flabbergasted...
She seems to have a pleasant character, but let's face it, she is bottom barrel and no amount of "niceness" can make up for her 40-50lbs+ extra fat.
My question, would you bring it up?

P.S.
His last gf was maybe a 7-8 and while he is no George Clooney, he is slim, intelligent and has a good career (PhD in STEM).

My guess is that she was 20 pounds lighter three years ago when they started dating. Since he sees her day-to-day he hasn't noticed the gradual increase in weight -- he still sees the girl he met.

I had (yet another) old saying in college: "They get boyfriends...then they balloon!" Seems like that's what happened.

My best friend is in a relationship with a fatty. She was only little chubby at first, but has since gained more weight. They moved in together now and i am just...disappointed. He is pretty alpha but chooses to shack up with this girl.

Try to get your brother drunk so he is prone to be more honest and ask him, "Bro I never knew you had a thing for bbws? I hear about that fetish a lot but I have never known anyone who prefers bigger women. I am curious though is there a range of weight thats ideal to you or is there a limit to when there is too much fat to feed your fetish?¨ (Say it with a straight face)

I would try something along those lines. He will either agree and if thats the case he is a lost cause or he will defend the fact that he doesnt have a fat fetish or say why would you ask me that. Then tell him¨what conclusion were you expected to draw from him dating a fat girl; as given his looks, personality and career options he could be dating a much much thinner girl. Therefore it is only logical for you to think he only reason he is with a fat girl is because he must have a sexual thing for fat girls.

One of my close friends is dating a big girl. She's around 250 @ 5'10. Has a kid from another guy as well as has been caught sending nudes to other dudes...

I've brought him out to the night clubs and with a little pushing he was getting some action from girls half the weight of his gf.
He's fairly smart. Not ugly as far as guys go. Works out like a beast in the gym and is currently shedding bodyfat like a mofo...
You see them together and think...wtf is he blind? She must give some killer brain for him to not leave her.

Your brother can date whoever he wants to date. That doesn't mean you have to kowtow your behavior in his favor. Ignore her and grimace whenever you have to look at her.

Eventually he will get secondhand wind that you don't like her. He will either stop coming around or will beg you to not be a douche. Negotiate your terms appropriately.

I don't care what he starts doing. My brother is not going to date a fatty. It's only downhill from there. If she's fat before marriage(oh god *cringe), can't imagine how it'd be after getting married.

If she lives with him -- he can force her to lose weight.

He has to become a fat disabler instead of a fat enabler. All processed food must be thrown out, and he must cook very high protein meals. Even if she is eating junk at lunch every day, the protein in the morning will make her eat less of it because she won't be as hungry.

I would never have believed this was possible until my friend's wife dropped a lot of weight from doing just the same thing.

I think the main issue here is that I'm disappointed. Throughout my life, my older brother used to be kind of a role model in certain aspects of life and now he is...seriously dating a fattie, while he is in his prime.
There are a few things that I just don't understand and dating a fat girl is one of them.
