He is correct about sales.....which is the VERY REASON why I did NOT choose sales.

I chose to be in a STEM area that is always in demand because just being "in-demand" reduces how "good" you have to be...just almost "existing" gets you multiple job offers.

I don't mind being a "cog in a machine". The mortgage bank nor the Mercedes Benz dealer nor front desk of the resort in Dominican Republic or Costa Rica or Panama cares if I am a "cog in a machine" or "my own business". They all just care if that platinum AMEX swipes approved.

The best thing that could happen to anyone who gets a job in sales is fail so many times, try so many things to succeed that he will ultimately find himself in a situation where he wants leave his job and moves on to something else he can fully call HIS where he no longer has to sell a damn thing to anyone. At that point he will be the best salesman he can be because he isn't trying to sell anyone something. Sure some people say they like selling, I have an uncle that was an amazing salesman, even heard him say he likes selling a few times, but I know if he had a choice he'd rather spend his time on the beach sipping a pina colada. Face it, selling for a company is like gaming 100's of chicks and dealing with all the rejection and shitty behavior, then if you do manage to find one or a couple girls who want to bang your company will be the one sticking it's cock in, you don't even get sloppy seconds. At best you'll get to rub some boobies. Fuck that.

Start a business and then sell or if you can't do that then make sure you are getting the lions share of the profit from your sales. That was bad advice in that video.
