Holy shit.

I had mine two years ago. Didn't have a date, didn't dance or make a move with one girl. Talked to my dude friends most of the night and went home early.

Tonight, I worked as a server for a high school graduation dance.

Now that I understand more of the game and how it all works, I can notice things I hadn't before.

After dinner was served and the DJ started with the music, all the girls stood up and went to the dance floor.

Some of the guys followed.

Few couples were dancing, but mostly it was just groups of 6,7,8 girls just dancing amongst themselves.

Most dudes kept sitting down, while all the girls were on the dance floor. Other dudes stood in a group amongst themselves and just talked while watching the girls dance.

As time went on, people started leaving. Astonishingly, the people leaving were mostly guys.

The last hour of the 2.5 hour dance consisted of 80-90% girls dancing amongst themselves. The dudes that were there were all sitting down or just standing around.

I counted at one point near the end, about 30 girls on the dance floor. Maybe two of them were with a guy. Maybe 5-10 other guys were still there, but away from the dance floor.

This had to be the most skewed ratio of any dance floor I have ever seen. And these girls were thirsty for pure male attention. Besides a specific past scenario, I have never been more checked out in my entire life. At one point a girl approached me and told me to come and dance with her and her friends.

I also feel I should note the presence of alcohol was inexistant really. If kids were buzzed when they got in, they don't have access to drinks during the event and the dinner would have killed it off.

Has it always been this way, or are guys just becoming more and more beta?

I was indefinitely one of these guys back in my days, but with the knowledge I have now in tonight scenario if I was part of the class I feel I could have gotten at least 90% of the girls that didn't already have a date (which was clearly most of them).

It was hilarious. When a slow song came on the girls panicked and looked around and grabbed each other for a slow dance..

Every day the price of man goes down.

Every day the price of woman goes up.

Can't blame guys for getting out of the market and putting their resources into something productive.

Especially when they've been taught to "be honest" and "respect women". That means no Game so for most guys it means no women.

Your observations are consistent with what I see at a State college where clutches of 2-3 undergrad girls wander around forlorn looking while being ignored.

It's like the inevitable backlash to feminism.

People are generally responding to what happened years ago, there's a culture lag. So men are responding to the bitchiness of women years ago; but to me, as a middle aged guy looking at it from the outside, it seems the young women are desperate for attention unless they are totally at the epicenter like being a model in NY.

Wait until all of them get to their early 20s, game will be nonexistent. More pickings for me!

What I find weird is that in clubs where the girls are just a couple years older, there is an entire different dynamic. Ratio is always more guys, there are always chodes of course, but a lot of them do approach (even if alcohol is relied on).

But there are obviously more reasons for that, such as a much larger group of guys not only the young ones that have access to these girls.

What do you guys think clubs and bars will be like in say, 5, 10 years?

Will guys just become even worse and start to give up, and focus all their remaining sexual energy on porn and distract themselves with computer and video games?

Girls still need attention, so I can still see them going out.

Will girls get desperate?

I see something else going on here. I see boys refusing to participate in institutionalized, pre-fabricated, authorized "fun."

It wasn't so different when I was in high school. The too-cool-for-school guys would blow off the dances and have parties in the basements with their stoner friends and a select group of girls. My guess is that the high school boys wanted to show one last act of rebellion towards the school (and perhaps the girls) and went and did their own thing.

The difference now seems to be that back in the day only a small subset of boys behaved this way. Now it seems the majority of guys do. This is what happens when you design a system by and for women and girls -- boys don't participate.

Who knows? Probably none of the girls would put out because they're getting picked up by their parents anyways. So the boys just said "Fuck it, we're cockblocked," and left.

I see it as the opposite, in daytime guys are so intimidated they need game training just to do the most simple thing like approaching, which was an accepted, mainstream thing for guys to do 40+ years ago.

My viewpoint is not standard, I see girls in clubs and bars as the hardened, too-cool-for-school types-- the least attractive ones from my point of view. Carousel riders whose attachment circuits are either congenitally fucked or deadened by regular alcohol use.

My father, a total natural alpha who actually worked as a door-to-door salesman, saw me stumbling with women in my teens and 20's at the height of the women's lib movement.

His comment? "It's easy. All you have to do is say "That's a nice dress."

Guys are so intimidated now ( day game settings) and girls look so pathetic how I think THAT would work, because 99% of guys say nothing. From daytime walking around I think a guy with 2/3 out of YoungTallCool could say ANYTHING not totally rude and it will work.

I see game as a reaction to a general failure of basic social skills-- i.e., guys being taught to walk, like Keanu Reeves pulled from the cocoon in the Matrix.

Maybe the smoking 9+ sorority girls need to be played with the whole distancing, pre-selection thing, but I sit in cafes all the time and NO ONE opens the ~6-8 level girls I see in Starbucks.

I sit there for three hours at a time editing media on my laptop and I'm like a fucking sheepdog, if anything happened I would see it.

It seems like guys in that environment will cry in joy if they are able to kiss a girl they find attractive.

Guys who actually consider approaching girls here would be satisfied with a dance and best case scenario, a kiss.

From there, who knows what could happen? They could take their number, start hanging out, develop feelings for each other, and maybe even become official. At that point, sex comes to mind.

I think that is how most high schoolers think anyways. It was definitely how I thought of things.

Most of these guys deny their sexual impulses. It has to be at the right time or something.

Interesting. I could partially vouch for your statement, being a senior in high school myself. For dances in my high school I would say that close to half the guys exhibit this behavior. But for the people with dates, which composes a significant portion of the people there, it's a completely different story. Juking and grinding is common at our dances, which is pretty much how kids at our school dance anyway. So there's a fairly even mixture of shy beta guys and ballsy dudes who usually have dates. A lot of people actually go in groups. I wonder if this increasing shyness phenomena is just a regional thing.

I'm excited as hell for the next dance. Got to practice my night game
