For everyone who says they want to travel, how many people ever said just fuck it and drove around the country? There is a lot out there once you leave DC or New Yawk.

The work culture sucks too, you often need to kill yourself to make it in the big cities in the US. And you get very little vacation. That impacts quality of life bigtime. I'm sure it's better in the secondary cities.

It's also becoming harder and harder to be able to afford proper health care and to put your kids through school...or even to just have a family. I think a lot of the jobs have just gone never to return and it will become increasingly hard to live well. Taxes will continue to go up as well. You already have a situation there where you often need a two-parent family to just keep up.

But travel wise its an incredible place, particulary out West.
