Just read a really great magazine article. It is about the strange attention deficit disorder that has been running through the media over the past decade. When you looked at objectively, our media has had the beahavioural quirks of a state-run communist controlled media.

It is really unsettling the way things are these days. And this article captures that mood better than any piece I have come across. The best writing captures a mood you couldn't quite put into words. And the following does that for me. It reminds me of something that Adam Curtis (the best documentary maker in the wolrd) might have wrote.

Here is another piece which is an intelligent discussion of the role of 'conspiracy theories' in today's media. And how the charge of being a 'conspiract theorist' is used to keep journalists in line and stop them investigating too deeply into corrupt institutions.

We are living in an age of 'groupthink' where people would rather be in the majority (and wrong) than in the minority (and - possibly - correct).
