Me neither. It's a recurring theme - everytime I take these two week trips back home or wherever it either severly damages the momentum in a prospct or has a hand in the eventual decline of an LTR. Has happened 3-4 times already to me and I gotta be much more aware of it in the future.

This is EXACTLY what she did upon my return after I had gone AWOL. She was visibly upset and acted distant and very cold from there on out. She sh*t-tested a lot more. It was almost as if she just wanted to go out with me a couple more times to belittle me in her mind and convince herself that I was a jerk, not for her, etc. I feel like I tried everything to 're-frame' but ultimately got nowhere.

So now she's in Italy on vacation and decides to text me saying "Florence is fabulous. Drinking wine in Rivalta. How is your weekend?"

Feels like an attention whoring and validation-seeking sms to me. I guess I'll respond - women are just insane sometimes. Not going to play anymore of her games, won't put too much time into this one just an sms or two here and there.

Let her think you've totally lost interest in her- she'll wonder what happened and assume other girls have your attention

Well I blew it and sms'd her back, then she sent a flurry of responses about the weather, asking me about my business trip to London, etc. I figure she must have been unsuccessful in finding the right Italian guy to hook up with (which is suprising to me as she's attractive, was alone there on vacation and from my experience Italian dudes are highly aggro esp with single Russian women).

I sort of went radio silent for a week or so after that but then opened her up yesterday and she's back in touch. As I'm away this weekend will continue to play it cool and maybe try to hook up next week. Meeting another girl out of town this weekend so will just focus on that while I'm out of town. I'm not optimistic about riviving this and getting the bang but don't have to invest too much just some sms's and then if we do meet up and she's not game I think I have to cut bait...
