As a corollary to this, despite being out of shape, dressed sharp (and "overdressed" for the venue) last weekend I ran into a girl I used to date and that ended up being a FWB situation before it died. She was with a friend who is sort of cute, but definitely not my type.

If she was inexperienced she was probably just nervous about doing a bad job. The fact that she said she "might" leave means she didn't want to, you were just being enough of a dick to make her.

I feel like the advice on the forum is geared toward fairly "seasoned" girls, and that sometimes I'm a bit too much of a dick to sweet/inexperienced girls, especially when I'm drunk and trying too hard to apply "game"

You're supposed to cock-block the IRT which gets you two things:
